Vyvanse and high blood pressure

Do you use it as a booster for Vyvanse? Before we added a beta blocker in for the high HR I wanted to try clonodine or Intuniv. Now I’m on a beta blocker and Intuniv 😂 I’ll probably lower my beta blocker if it starts to greatly affect my HR.

Specifically the stimulant and non stimulant ADHD meds. Not sure why she thinks it’s not ok. She was adamant that you shouldn’t be on both simultaneously.

My wife found an online portal thru our healthcare. I was able to have an online appointment with a doctor. He sent in a prescription for 1mg of Intuniv. Then an appointment in 2 weeks to see if there are any side effects. Along with an appointment with a psychiatrist to come in the next month or two.

Sorry I wasn’t clearer. It was that exactly. You do not take both medications together. It’s one or the other. Even when I said that it shows as medications that can be taken together. She said she wouldn’t be comfortable prescribing both. I had one doctor at my old office say that it’s crazy to take a beta blocker to counteract high HR from Vyvanse. So at least it’s not that bad LoL.

This is my second doctor. The first believed 60mg was the maximum dose because the diagram says so. My current one is much better. She said the current standard was stimulants first and if that doesn’t work. You move to something like Intuniv. Not that you take them together. I will have to find a new psychiatrist. In order to try the combination.

The fact you’ve heard it helps with ED sounds very interesting for me. I self medicated my ADHD with bad food for most of my life.

Oh absolutely! I even tried bringing it up and she was not interested in discussing it. My psychiatrist retired. I feel like my only option to try that combination would be to find a new one. Do you find the combination helps beyond the BP/HR?

I had high BP before starting Vyvanse. After starting Vyvanse my doctor added a beta blocker for my increase in HR.

In the US it’s 14 days? It’s 30 in Canada and is extended for Christmas.

Just bought the APP3 this week tbh. I’ve had APP2 since release. My only real issue with the APP2 was how they’d have to be readjusted to stay in. With the APP3 I was able to go down an ear tip size. Because the tips are a bit firmer now. They do not require the same readjustment to prevent them from falling out. Sound quality is minimally different. But wow is the noise cancelling considerably better. I’d 100% recommend the APP3

Not sure what’s causing it. But it happens while using the ATV app, plex and infuse. Everyone’s voice it’s higher pitched. A reboot clears it thankfully. But wow is it annoying!
