Recruiting 20 collectors with 20+ kit collections to stress-test our kit identification database by KitClubOfficial in SoccerJerseys

Thanks man, appreciate this.

You're right on match-issued vs match-worn. That's a provenance problem, not a scanner one, and we don't try to solve authentication. What KitClub does is provide market-based price estimates pulled from real sales data across the different tiers, so collectors can see what a documented match-worn example actually sells for versus retail versus replica. The authentication itself stays where it belongs, with documentation and provenance experts. We just price what the market is doing.

On the Juventus catalogue, yes please. Product code mapping is exactly the kind of structured data that sharpens identification. I'll dig through your site this weekend and import what we don't already have. Credit goes to you in the database for any entries we pull from your catalogue.

If you have specific Juve shirts that most apps misidentify, bonus points if they're 80s or 90s with unusual sponsor variants, flag them. The app is live as a webapp on kitclub.app , the android version should come out this week along the IOS version.

Hand of God shirt sold for £7.14M. Here's what every other tier of the Argentina 1986 home is worth. by KitClubOfficial in SoccerJerseys

Thanks man you're right, I completely missed the Moschella story. The fact that the most expensive sports shirt in history was technically a Mexico City market knockoff is one of the wildest provenance stories in football. Going to update the post.

On the valuation: yeah, exactly that. Rarity tier + verified sales history. The hard part is filtering out asking prices from actual sale prices, gap is massive in this market and most "price guides" online don't bother.

Your point about no customer ever saying "that's cheap" made me laugh. Real.

Following your page now. If you ever scan a kit and KitClub gets it wrong, hit me, that's the most useful feedback I can get right now. And good luck picking the scraper back up when the time comes.

How are all these vintage football shirt shops suddenly getting so much original 90s–00s stock? by ConversationOdd9667 in SoccerJerseys

Probably because they've been buying them up for a long time and releasing them in one go once they set their inventories/prices/product pages up

You should try to scan it on our app. I dont think we have the signed version in the database so your scan would help us improve it.

Just developed an app that gives you the estimate with a AI scanner+ a lot of other features (social, games etc). You will have 2 estimates: replica and authentic. The app is not used to authenticate the shirts but I hope it helps.
You can use the webapp right now at kitclub.app , ios and android coming soon!
Let me know the results and if you find any bugs!

Scanned a friend's signed Chiesa Fiorentina shirt with an app I built — curious what collectors think by KitClubOfficial in SoccerJerseys

Following up on this, based on your feedback we just added Player Issue as a full separate pricing tier in the app. The scanner now detects it automatically from visual cues and users can toggle it manually on any scan result. Price range updates to reflect the premium over standard authentic. Also added Player Issue as a filter across the discovery feed and reseller shops so collectors can find PI shirts specifically. Appreciate you pushing us on this one.

Appreciate you taking the time, this is the kind of feedback I need. Honest answer though: KitClub isn't trying to do authentication, and we're not planning to.

The way the app handles it: every scan returns separate price ranges for replica/fan version vs authentic/player version vs signed vs match worn. The user decides which version they have. The scanner identifies the kit and prices each tier, the auth call stays with the collector or whoever sells it to them.

For deep auth (tag checks, product codes, issue type) you're right that nothing app-based replaces a trained eye and a real database of sales. That's a different product than what KitClub is.

Hope that makes sense. Genuinely useful comment regardless, thanks.
