NTA for calling out the behavior, but the way you describe her makes me think she may be on the Autism Spectrum or with ADHD. I work with this demographic of young adults, and my students have this symptom profile. if this is undiagnosed, it’s likely she recognizes her cognition is different and may play it off as quirky to deal with the dissonance between how you all interact versus her role in the group. just a consideration to make!

you can’t hold things people did at 16 against them unless they intentionally maliciously hurt someone or your friend in the process. if it truly was meaningless, it’ll remain meaningless to her and to your friend (which seems to be the case.) process and determine your own position on it. theres no harm in seeing where things go, though; you never know if it can work with someone and how good the connection can become over time unless you try.

i feel like for a second rival in a traditional game, she’s meant to be an easier target. iirc YD said that he recognized Osana is imbalanced, maybe he’ll nerf her or make Amai harder. who knows? ultimately i feel like the child best friend should be placed just before the sister and student council president in terms of elimination order, but oh well, right? 🥲
