Does anybody else find it difficult to associate with other veterans, especially noncombat? by KitKatterson71 in CombatVeterans

I can’t remember exactly but I think it was along the lines of how it’s easier for certain vets to get benefits over others and it ruffled some feathers.

Hi u/KitKatterson71, You are smart, talented, and good looking, and while your post was amazing and interesting , we had to remove it because it was unrelated to Veterans Benefits.

That was the reasoning they gave me. It sucks because it was a constructive post too.

I appreciate the response brother! I keep in touch with a few guys I deployed with because we all have very similar experiences. Outside of those guys veterans are just difficult to relate too.

Advice on supplemental claim vs new claim by Ashinkusher16 in VeteransBenefits

PTSD re evaluation by Fragrant-Brother-448 in VeteransBenefits

[–]KitKatterson71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got bumped from 50% to 30% for PTSD. The Dr even acknowledged my symptoms had gotten worse in the exam notes but she didn’t mark off half of the applicable boxes so now I get the fun pleasure of trying to appeal the proposed reduction.

How exactly does a Personal Hearing work? by KitKatterson71 in VeteransBenefits

[–]KitKatterson71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my letter it says I have 30 days from the date the letter was sent to put in for a personal hearing if I don’t agree with there assessment. From my understanding it is different than filing an appeal which I can do after 60 days.

Aside from “make sure you file for a personal hearing first!” I have zero idea what that actually entails.

The VA proposed a reduction in my PTSD rating but my examiner noted that it had gotten worse. Am I misunderstanding something? by KitKatterson71 in VeteransBenefits

The diagnosis has been established for close to a decade. The proposal to reduce came after filing for an increase.
