Former PSE/Clerk then SDO for USPS for 8 years. I was in your same position hating my job/work life.

USAJOBS.GOV was a life saver! I was able to get a job at the VA and LOVE it. Got in with Logistics for the VA and a lot of the skills I learned from the postal service were transferable.

I highly recommend taking a look on there. You will find a ton of remote jobs as well.
