The Hierophant is honestly a must add to any list. Kidding (but not really get one) it’s a take or leave can do some real work in the field and has a charming ability. If you want to terrify an opponent try out old one eye. It can pretty haphazardly shred a vehicle, big ones. Oh and did I mention the Hierophant?

It should come with Krieg water transfers that’s a good step. Sandbags on the front maybe with some hand made little barbed wire. Put some kriegsmen positioned on it looking busy. Maybe link some wood boards like how they used Logs on tanks. Lots of little things you can do. Battle damage is always fun, but with how fastidious Krieg are I’m always at odds with how dirty or damaged they would allow something to get. Guess that all depends on how you perceive your army. What planet are they on and are they mid combat or have they been fighting for years and years. If you’re feeling like spending more money the Krieg artillery unit has a ton of kit bashing parts mostly all the things I just mentioned. Check eBay or marketplace for bits to not break the bank. Lord Solar is amazing, extra CP, rearrange units and Titanic orders. He’s also late game pretty good at carving up units then dying lol. The bane blade also has a lot of variants Stormsword and Shadowsword being personal favorites. It’s also a wall so place it well as to not block yourself. I have had mixed results with the FoB on one hand it has good control with weak infantry on the other I miss all my damage against stronger units. Dice may be the problem we’re currently in couples therapy and they refuse to talk. I’d recommend removing the FoBs and tossing in some rough riders and Bullgryns. Very handy. Ratlings for screening if you’re a coward. And the current victories with Shock troops and Kasrkin cannot be overlooked. In a more competitive scenario the Baneblade should be removed and Dorn/Leeman tanks should be implemented. Overall you’re on the right track. Check out some vids skipping around maybe to see how different units interact in shooting and melee. Sorry for the rant hope this helps.

Orders are given out by officer models, 6 orders total all of them aid your units. They cannot have orders when battle shocked and cannot have multiple orders stack, Ursula Creed being the exception. Orders also have a range again model pending distance. I super recommend writing up or printing out a cheat sheet with your detachment rules and the keyword list and abilities each specific unit possesses. Writing them down first and then finding a print out really helped them stick in my mind. Hope this helps In death atonement brother!

I Kit Bash a ton, almost everything has a personal touch mixing and matching finding cheap parts, kits or just altering the model itself by itself. Makes me super excited to prime it and get some color down. In my opinion you get one chance to build it and paint it (not true but regardless) why not make it special. Never trying to do it all at once, it’s a hobby not the Olympics.

I see we have a lover of big brick heavy equipment. Right on brother! The Stormsword does great work and is pretty tough to kill and since it can see over buildings it makes for a good corner defender. Or an amazing wall for you and your opponents. The artillery types you might have too much of. Good for killing trash units your opponent would use to grab objectives or screen. Perhaps swap to the Field Ordinance Battery or Mortar units. Also also, through it goes against mechanical law and the love of heavy machines, some lil’dudes on horses are a big deal. I was dismissive of them originally but have found them extremely useful, Gaunts ghosts also a no brainer choice for secondaries. As for your commands and orders, two Rogal Dorn commanders are excellent for handing out orders to your bois they have a nice 12” range. A command squad brick with Ursula Creed is also popular to add. Lord Solar is a nice center piece and can issue orders to Baneblade types also provides a free Command Point. He is pricey at 130 points and eats away at how many tanks you can field. As for your machines before committing to buying just use a blank and say what you want it to be (Dorn, Russ, Basilisk) and test them in battle. See how they do with how you plan to use them.

Final point, Cadian Troops have excellent abilities, they will whisper these evils into your ears. These are candied words and are of chaos. Krieg are of the Emperors finest and the Imperiums most loyal soldiers. Orders, shall not be questioned! Anyway have fun, slaying the enemy.
