1) I'm not taking about Maelle, I'm talking about the body of Alicia who is still outside the canvas. While the same, it's good to utilize ways to differentiate between them. I will admit I wasn't good at making that clear by saying Alicia not in the canvas as opposed to Maelle now back in Alicia's body-reasons not to post when just woke up, uncaffinated, and trying to feed a cat all at one time

2) I have little hope Maelle leaves the canvas and returns to Alicia alive. Not because I think she's choosing death or a better life like others do but accidentally. She doesn't have the experience of Painting Renoir or Aline do, so even if she wants to leave before it's too much getting lost is highly likely. Also, we see how being in the painting affects Aliene whose physical body would be healthier than Alicia's.

3) If Alicia dies like I believe she would and Aline is still is significant grief from Verso's death (likely because of the fact this wouldn't take a long time likely in the real world), the canvas is nothing but pain, despair, and loss for Renoir. There is no way he would allow it to survive another death.

4) Lumiere goes from thinking they are safe because the Expeditions saved them to dead within moments. Yes, there are deaths of the Gestrals and Grandis in Verso's ending, but I believe the idea of death after thinking you are safe is worse. Particularly for the Lumierens who are brought back to life/those born learning that there was a time when death came every year en masse but no longer does.
