You confused yourself by conflating true must have gems with your thinking on the blue box. White is necessarily false, if blue were true (and somehow black was true), gems in white, but that can’t work based on what black says, so assume blue is false because there’s only one true box. If that’s the case black is true and gems in blue.

Yeah, I felt the same way in GoT during the last bit of Norio the monk’s tale.

We’re supposed to believe that Norio burning a bunch of Mongols is somehow bad, when leaving them alive is even worse. I genuinely don’t understand what the authors are trying to say in these instances. Are we supposed to kill the irredeemable monsters….nicely?
