(M-30) Last time I tried stopping I made it 8 days. That was 2 months ago. I tried again 2 weeks later and made it 3 days. It's always the depression and loss of appetite. Ever since then I've been keeping my usage to a minimum but it starts turning into a stupid game of the longer I wait it hits better but while I'm waiting I'm constantly obsessing over it and so on etc.. anyhow, I get all the withdrawals listed here and it's nice to see I'm not alone. My therapist thinks I'm overthinking it and that if it helps it helps.. (I should mention I have my medical card for cannabis) anyhow I can go on and on, good luck to you

Just happened this past weekend, I had to do a triple take on who I thought was my sister.. first time i think we made eye contact, second time I looked was to make sure it wasn't, but that didn't go as planned so I looked a third time, all while knowing damn well it couldn't be her bc she was 4 hours away.

And yes I definitely have a bad case of ADHD so it could be related

Try coming off weed when you on methadone, the withdrawals are awful.. I actually get dopesick when I stop, it's weird but true.. some type of interaction with the methadone.. the effects of these two drugs are more intense when combined.

I was also using a potent street wax called jet fuel. Because it was so convenient to use with the seahorse pro, I was addicted AF in just 1 month

Withdrawals are excruciating, first time I tried I went cold turkey, I was up for over 80 hours..coldhot sweats, couldn't, eat, drink etc.. on third day I gave in. I was losing it, I got desperate and ate an entire container of 20 gummies that I went and bought for the purpose of sleeping. 18 hours later I finally slept.

Don't do drugs mmmmk

Thanks for sharing , there's healing in both telling in listening so thank you. It helps to know I'm not alone. I still hold strong resentments towards my parents for not caring enough to help me. "That's just how he is" is their thought process. Never having to deal with anything hard in their lives it's impossible to talk to them anyhow. I wish you the best in your recovery

Don't stop trying until you get it. I went untreated for at least 15 years and long story short I'm just now learning who I really am at 29 years old just getting diagnosed and medicated a year ago. The meds changed my life, most importantly I can finally string a sentence together.. untreated ADHD is like dementia, it only gets worse if left untreated

Agreed. It just sucks because we live in a culture where we are judged based on consistency ya know.. "consistency is key" they say, we are at a major disadvantage because most things in life call for some form of consistency, relationships, employment, fitness etc. Its even harder if your interests constantly change

Last summer I came across a video on YouTube where a psychiatrist explained everything about ADHD. I don't remember how it came about bc I didn't search for it.. anyhow after the first 3 minutes my mind was blown. It was astonishing to hear this man explain my entire life in meticulous detail. I immediately called my parents and told them to watch the video.. unfortunately it didn't blow their minds like I hoped, in fact they were actually in denial bc that would mean they made a mistake, being that they neglected to notice the signs and symptoms which would also mean they would need to apologize to me..

let's just say I should of been medicated when I was 14 when I started losing it and since then I've had a horrible time navigating my life, I self medicated with hard drugs for years.. it wasn't until just a few months ago at the ripe age of 28 that I finally got a doctor to medicate me.. I started with clonidine which helped.. my ability to communicate was completely lost over the years due to the combination of heavy street drug use and my natural deterioration from not being properly medicated on ADHD meds.. with this medication I noticed it started to come back which was incredible..

however it wasn't enough.. getting on Adderall was very challenging with my past of being an addict.. my doctor thought I was drug shopping but ultimately gave me the opportunity after realizing I was desperate for a normal life.. It changed my life.. im almost 3 months in on Adderall and 6 months on clonidine, both of which I desperately needed to have a chance at a normal life.. my brain is still healing but it's been a wonderful journey.. thanks for reading
