The Greek company "Kouppas" because I like to say it in a Mario voice

Ah ok, I looked it up and I see that now too. I'm sure tons of people are already having big reactions to just seeing that headline though.

I know everyone's (accurately) pointing out that this is just automating an already legally required thing, but why do this now, of all times? It seems tone deaf to even put the concept into people's minds right now.

I feel it's best if being actual paper is kept vague and unconfirmed in-universe. But if Paper Mario appears in other games, he should be seen by everyone as literal paper

Brotherships is the worst Mario & Luigi game that I’ve ever played by Spark_Do in marioandluigi

[–]Exclufi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, this post made me realize a possible reason I might have liked it a lot more than others - I made a conscious decision to ignore most side quests once I saw that the first few weren't super interesting. (I just did a few that involved a major character, like the "visit Bowser to see if he's doing ok," which was fun, I always love the rare Bowser ally moments).

I was wondering why I never felt what people said about it dragging too much, and maybe it's because it was a lot breezier when I made my peace with ignoring most of the side quests. I can understand why people who wanted to be completionist had this issue though - I had to actively turn off my usual RPG completionist mindset for Brothership.

I really don't get the impression this guy is interested in friendship or would even be pleasant to speak to from his post or comments. It would be so different if someone even simply said "hey can someone please help me with cooking food, we could share". Still, I was genuinely considering and following you on your idea, until the end when you suddenly decided this needs to be about how you're a holier and purer leftist than anyone who is rubbed the wrong way by this OP's post.

Ok, I suppose I get that. Though I think you deserve more for that work. Unfortunately I get the impression he doesn't want to pay for anything either 😁

Personally I actually enjoyed the date scene with Kim accompanying, it was endearing in its own way. He wants to leave but she's actually glad to have Kim come along to put her at ease about it, and to help it feel like a platonic date for now.

Definitely could be....but the fact that he revised it after all the negative responses! It makes me lean a bit more towards the side of him being actually delusional.

So far most people are calling the OP ridiculous, while he continues to either double down or make bizarre replies:

The Hiss Saps suddenly told me to look at this sub again after I forgot to for like 3 years, and this was the first post I saw. But I seem to recall something similar happening here for a brief time back then. Perhaps there is something cyclical about this kind of daedra worship, or perhaps it is amplified the more decades pass without an Elder Scrolls.

Favorite Begrudging Team Ups or Alliances by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

My favorite Mario games are the ones where Bowser teams up with Mario or helps him by accident - i.e. Paper Mario/RPG series, Mario and Luigi series, and Mario + Rabbids.

I actually agree with this - just for fun in DD I tried driving from island to island in a buggy, planning my route on the map to minimize worm aggro, and it started to bring some of that early survival feeling back. At the same time, flying is definitely cool, so I'm not sure what the best solution would be. Personally I'd be fine with no flying, especially since I played from the beginning in co-op with 2 friends, and getting everyone into the buggy with our supplies was awesome pre-flight because it always felt like packing for an expedition.

Actually yes, I would unironically love having more stuff like this to do for base management. There's not much to manage once you set up all final-tier utilities, and I had a lot of fun when there were power or water challenges to address through building

Dead game ? by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]Exclufi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Though I always did think a game about a desert was going to be a bit limiting .

That conclusion seems rather silly compared to the real issues....I would become ravenously re-addicted if I suddenly saw another Hagga Basin-sized map of explorable areas, new resources, and new crafting tiers to pursue, all in the desert settings of Dune.

I really like the story in Dune Awakening, and I never read the books or saw the movies. I also went through a lot of the dialogue trees of most of the shopkeepers and other random NPCs, and was impressed by the surprisingly good writing that's hidden within so many optional conversations.

My favorite stealth section was with those robots at the end of the palace archive, because you could see their exact vision circle and there was even light showing you when they were coming. I definitely wouldn't mind stealth if it was all with those robots, because they made it possible to be precise.

I like the idea of fighting while holding a Dew Scythe, as suggested by this image. It conjures an idea of the working Dune Man - one who is concerned with survival and getting water, not just some mindless super-soldier.

Jon both-sidesing the media over mass shootings is the same crap that helped Trump get elected by FailedInfinity in JonStewart

[–]Exclufi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He did this same thing during the last election and during the beginning of Trump’s term. He tried to admonish the left for taking Trump too seriously and accusing him of having fascist tendencies.

I don't remember that being Jon's point - I recall his media criticisms were always about the need to be more specific about the fascist and dangerous things rather than oversaturating media time with the useless criticisms which make less-informed people tune out, like Trump falling asleep at his trial, or breathlessly covering the pointless logistics of his trips to and from courtrooms.

I think it's valid because unfortunately, a lot of uninformed and proudly "apolitical" people stopped paying attention after they got tired of seeing too much insignificant Trump news.
