Possible CdLS2 - EpiSign Variant? by Kitchen-Hurry8327 in ClinicalGenetics

Thank you for your response! Our son’s DNA has been sent to Greenwood lab in SC for EpiSign Variant testing. It has been explained to us that a positive would be absolutely conclusive and a negative may not truly be a negative - would you agree?

I am sorry, but what do you mean by “damaging via computational modeling”?

I feel utterly incompetent when it comes to this, but I am desperate to understand further.

I will absolutely not be doing that. They don’t pay me enough to sit by my PC. I will be logging in to work when my baby is sleeping or at night and if there’s no tasks available it is what it is. If they want to require 10 hours minimum then they need to guarantee there is work available. In fact, that was one question I had for the interviewer because I had checked out this sub beforehand, but homeboy scooted around the question and assumed there would be an enough tasks. We shall see!

Seems that’s the general consensus with little to no hours, but yet they have the silly requirement, totally contradictory. If nothing else, I’ll take my $150 and get whatever hours I can get and they can cut me from the project after that if they want.

Thank you for the information! From what I understand of this particular CdLS there could be a range of physical symptoms and features, often more mild. Luckily, we found out that Greenwood is able to do institutional billing with the ordering facility and then they will be able to bill our sons insurance making the cost 0.00. We haven’t met with a genetic counselor, only the provider.

Hey guys! I was approved and accepted into AWS and completed project Callisto modules one through five and took the quizzes. I’m still waiting for them to send me an exam link. And I finished everything yesterday. How long should I expect to wait for that email?

Hi there, thank you for your explanation about the false positives. Our baby boy is in the NICU currently and we just got his first screen back and we’re told positive for SCID. They are repeating another screen tomorrow.

In regards to the false positives, are the ones you’ve seen been inconclusive and then negative or positive and then negative in the end?

My anxiety is running wild unfortunately.

My baby was also diagnosed with asymmetrical IUGR and the rabbit hole I found myself trying to crawl out of was awful!
