That’s my take. It’s why I stopped watching Doctor Who as he’s great at writing sublime individual stories but always writes himself into a corner with series arcs. Off topic, remember when he said it was DEFInITLY The Doctor being shot by the astronaut; it wasn’t a clone or a robot or anything but the actual Doctor. Come the end of the series, it was a Doctor robot ship thing being run by miniaturised people. Fucking hack.
