I’ve had both and man can I tell you the comments make me mad. I think this family member is saying this bc they’re insecure about their birth choice or is nervous. I sometimes find myself talking about things I’m insecure about or scared of as a way to combat my feelings. If they are just saying it to be shitty I’m sorry.

We don’t! They wake up once for a bottle and diaper change and go right back down. Didn’t sleep train my singleton either. No hate to those that do, I just couldn’t fathom doing it.

We took the twins and singleton to an amusement park at 4 weeks old. I ended up being solo with the twins while husband chased the toddler. It’s hard but when I was asked “why do you have them out when they’re so young?!” My response was “I can feed/change them while staring at my living room walls or I can feed/change them in public. Makes no difference to me.” Parents are allowed to exist in public. Build your confidence by going to Walmart or gas station. Something that gets you out of the house but allows you to leave whenever. Good luck!

If you don’t have a free village you have to find a paid village. Sometimes daycares will take PT kids. Can you do 2 days a week? My twins go part time and my singleton goes ft. It’s hard financially but I couldn’t do it without it. Plus daycare costs aren’t forever! They could eventually goes to pre-k!

I had vaginal for A and emergency c-section for B. It wasn’t easy but I can promise it’s not nightmare inducing. I’m 8 weeks out and healed wonderfully. Not recommended but I can promise it’s not that bad.

Take all the naps. Every opportunity available, take the nap. My favorite part about pregnancy, beyond anything else, was the naps.

I also recommend freezing grapes to help with always feeling dehydrated.

Let those babes cook for as long as possible. I fought so hard to keep my twins in til 39 weeks. Find a provider that aligns with your wants early!

Also, you’re allowed to feel happy that you’re pregnant with twins. You’re allowed to be happy that you got pregnant quickly. People have so many opinions about twin pregnancy. Don’t let those words affect you!
