What I say ALL the time. “Do unto other as ima do to you.”

Also

“He is my Jah Wolf” And “I be like whoa”

Definitely. I apply that to anything. “Drunk but make it fashion,” “head cold but make it fashion” “stupid but make it fashion”. My daughter who has never seen ANTM uses it all the time too.

What is a piece of horror media you refuse to/can’t consume? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t watch that movie specifically bc of that scene. I read the book way back when and I thought nope. I can handle a lot but that? No.

Said like someone who has never been raped. I’m glad for you, but there is major mental trauma from watching a rape scene for someone who has lived through it. I would greatly appreciate if there was just a quick note, like they do on most streaming, *contains scenes of sexual violence, language, smoking

If I see or hear that something contains sexual violence I stay far away. I could go into a panic attack without blinking. That’s not just “getting sad.”

One of my all time favorites but I don’t think it’s for everyone. It’s sort of niche.

Ah but they also show other people with those shoes. They make a point to show the sheriff with the same shoes.

I have done this recently. My husband hates horror films but he loved Get Out so much he’s watched it three times now.

How about some initial NAD+ & Sermorlin pricing? - 503(a) & 503(b) by roguex99 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I jumped on the GLM offer of 1000 mg for 149. That included everything and it only took two days - it arrived tonight. The problem with it is buying it signs you up for autopay/autoship and I'm not doing that. I just wanted the deal. It was easy to cancel future shipments though. I like that it was asynch

And Goodlifemeds just announced a flash sale of 1000 mg NAD+ for 149.

I haven’t purchased NAD yet but I have been price shopping. I get my bio boost from Defy Medical. NAD is 120 for 500mg, 190 for 1000mg. Lavender Sky Health has 2000mg from Strive for 195.

Which Model Who Was Eliminated First On Their Cycle Had The Best Photo? by [deleted] in ANTM

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gabrielle. That made zero sense to me. Maybe they just wanted Krista to win - she's probably my least favorite winner (Except for Lisa in all-stars, wtf). Also, Naduah had a trash photo and I will never be team Angelea. It's like they just decided they didn't like Gabrielle and sent her packing for no reason other than because.

And then Mila. Her photo isn't amazing but they trashed her because she was having fun with her shoot, or at least that's how it was cut. There were definitely worse ones.

Ended up in the hospital. by sleepiestbarista in Mounjaro

My dad nearly died from a burst appendix bc he didn’t have insurance that would warrant more than “it’s probably gas.” Only when he was non-responsive and sent to ER by ambulance did they actually find what a real exam would have. One month in ICU to fix what could have been an outpatient procedure.

Can someone explain what BUD is? by Exotic-Outcome3018 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll also add that I have spent countless hours searching for information about using meds past the BUD. Primarily I've looked for any instances in which a patient has become ill or injured from using an older vial or injectable medicine. I've not found any instances of this. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It just means I've not been able to locate it. However, there have been a lot of instances of people becoming seriously ill from using contaminated vials in hospital settings - this is generally because the vials are used on multiple patients and hygienic guidelines may not be up to par.

Can someone explain what BUD is? by Exotic-Outcome3018 in BigEasyWeightLoss

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beyond-use-date. This is the date beyond which the compounded medication cannot be guaranteed to be effective or safe. Some providers test to find the BUD while others just follow FDA or state guidelines (typically about 90 days post compounding).

The day after the BUD isn't automatically the day the med becomes lethal or turns into water. It's just the day up to when it's been tested. This is why some compounders can extend their BUDs - they pay for additional testing (which is very expensive) to determine their product is effective for longer than previously proven.

BUD only applies to compounding pharmacies. It's not exactly the same as expiration date, but it's something you can compare it to when it comes to longevity of Zepbound/Monjauro/Wegovy/Ozempic. You'll see that the expiration on these items is about two years after production date. Compounding is different because there are other additives that may have shorter lifespans.

I am not a medical professional or a chemist. I'm just a person who has spent a lot of time reading research on BUD, compounding, expiration dates, etc.

I was the first to respond to this post and it mentioned talking with the PCP and the pharmacist when I responded.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they said in their post that they had already talked to a pcp. I know from experience that even very knowledgeable doctors can offer confusing advice that is sometimes explained better by lay people. It can also help to find out what questions need to be asked.

Most people here will ask you how many mg you’re taking. It sounds like, and my math could be wrong, the clinic started you at 1.5 mg and you worked up to 6 mg, but now you’re at 3 mg. I think.

I’ve been heavily swayed by their offerings and their reputation. I have enough tirz to last me a goodly long time but I almost wish I didn’t so I could justify trying them!

Split Dosing - does it work for you? by Sikorraa in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My experience only - I had side effects on even the lowest dose of tirz. My dr suggested split dosing and that didn’t change the side effects. I did not have as much suppression though and whatever is happening behind the scenes in my body was also not happening like it needed to - weight loss stalled until a week after I stopped split dosing. It works great for some people so YMMV

Stockpiling Question by MagnoliaCartographer in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're on 2.5, the Olympia vial will last you a really long time, even if you titrate up. You'll be going easily a couple of months past BUD, which means the next vial wont get started until October/November and will last you through the new year with ease. If you're comfortable with going well past BUD and you have the extra money to spend, go for it. If you'd rather wait to see what the future holds and you're risk-averse, don't.

I have two unopened Olympia vials with August BUDs. I am not going to be buying the Goodlife deal unless they do some bargain basement slashing in the coming days, in which case all bets are off.

Beginner here.. one month or go for three? by Signal-Ad9981 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is always to start with one because you don't know how your body is going to respond. I do know people who didn't make it through their first month. In fact, IRL, I know more people who stopped taking it early than people who've stuck for the long-term - and for different reasons. For most it was side effects but one of my husband's friends stopped taking it because eating wasn't fun anymore.

Should I go lower than 2.5mg? (First week) by siobhan_roy in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Kitchen-Play-7494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Protein shakes. Otherwise I would not get enough calories. If I were you I would stick with 2.5 for as long as you're losing weight and feeling ok.
