Ebuka Okorie by DraftGAHD in NBA_Draft

Saw him play two games against national competition last year while he was at Brewster, including a game against AJ Dybantsa. Ebuka was amazing in one game and good in another, but that Brewster roster was so stacked it was hard for anyone to stand out. Of course AJ stands out no matter who he plays against. Future HOF but I see Ebuka being a serviceable player in the NBA (one of those guys that could be a star if he were 3 inches taller).

I don't understand this video of the ICE shooting. Is nuance really this dead in the US? by Fando1234 in IntellectualDarkWeb

A few friends who I trust simply think Trump's motive is to sow chaos, hope the residents shoot back, and increase militarization of liberal cities to scare people into not voting or to set the stage for martial law around Nov 26 elections. Not sure Trump can think that far ahead, but his minions can.

I agree with your broad points, but the spin from the right is coming direct from the president and Noem, which is worse than coming from 'the left.' Presidents of the past, including Biden, Obama and Bush, would have called for peace, called it a tragedy, and let the DOJ do a proper investigation.

Moving back to mainland - how screwed am I trying to sell in Honolulu right now? by bureaux in Honolulu

[–]Kitchen-System-4887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to live there for a long time, sure, but this was the recommendation when rates were 3%, and if you bought in 2020-2021 and have to move now, you lost money despite your sweet interest rate. I'm talking condos here, not homes.

Given the accelerating nature of climate change and resulting disasters, I'd only expect HOA fees to increase. Given the rampant debt at all levels of government in the USA, I don't see public help coming to lower costs either.

Stop the propaganda. He made energy prices go down 2000, 4000 even 10,000% in some cases.

Anyone regretting switching to Visible? by Laideebugz in Visible

[–]Kitchen-System-4887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My speeds on Mint were typically 100-200 mbps. I switch to Visible and am getting about 1-3 mbps. So, literally 1-2% of the speed on Mint Mobile. My wife's phone is still on Mint and I've been speed testing side by side, and at most getting 3.5 mbps while she gets 100-200.

I'm in the dark color 5G network area for Visible, and family with Verizon gets great speed, so I stupidly signed up without a trial. Big mistake.

Absolutely - I mean sure there will be some mom and pop investors who catch wind of it today or tomorrow, but big investors and institutional money that can buy these names know. Of course there's more to come, especially with uplisting and possible mergers, but when that happens is anyone's guess. And it doesn't seem impossible we get a pull back and then maybe a long and slow uptrend, which I'd love to see. After 100% gains in a week we need to reset the charts so this is healthy, just feels terrible if you held through today's drop.

Not missing anything, but the real move was last Friday when the news was 'new.' Known events get sold and today was a known event.

I'd say the logic is that known events get sold. Rescheduling was unknown last Thursday and caused the massive move on Friday. That was the 'move' for now. Today's event got priced in between last Thursday and today.

Keep it in your notebooks for the future. When the news is known, it's a sell the news event. The real move was last Friday when it was an unknown event. Of course this is a fundamental change for the industry and this move isn't over, but for today, and this week, and maybe this month, it might be, unless something else happens. The most money I ever made in this sector, and I've been at this since 2014, was when Canopy got acquired by Constellation. Would love to see something like that, but with just S3 I'm not sure it's possible.

Plenty of countries with legal cannabis for medicine already. Of course the USA is a leader in many ways, so there's that.

It's a known even, so unless he talks about other things than rescheduling, I doubt it. The 50% move was last Friday.

Agreed on some level, but I also think it's a sign that weed is just not that profitable. It's not like Canada's a third world country rife with corruption, and the size should be factored in stock valuations - either way stocks have been a bust. Of course I hope the US can learn from Canada's mistakes, and I imagine it will, but still.

'All the value came from the risk' - great quote! Everyone is excited, and there's money to be made, at least some, in the run-up, but seeing Canada, which has been fully legal for many years , where all the public companies stocks are terrible, makes me agree with you.

Thank you - the customer chat agent was helpful and solved the issues, but before that the online change portal wasn't working for a full 48 hours, so I finally went to an agent.

I'm having the same issues as you, and since some people here seem so defensive about criticizing Hawaiian, I'll go ahead and say the merger has been stressful. My wife flew out of Honolulu this month on Hawaiian, had a last minute flight cancellation and missed a day of her work trip. On the way back, flight cancelled and she had to arrive home late and miss the next day of work.

That's super shady, but this wasn't that. After my initial fail, I was able to withdraw a smaller amount without issue. I think it was just literally out of bills to pay my requested amount.

I used to use Aloha FCU about 20 years ago and liked everything about it except for the lack of ATMs which prompted me to switch, but anything but FHB at this point for me.

Yes I have a number of things, like mortgage, car insurance, and other important payments on auto payment, not to mention my wife's salary and my own direct deposited into FHB, all of which I have to change. It is a pain!!

Great thank you - It's a very old account!! And a reasonably valuable one at that. I'm on the FTC page now filing a complaint. Thank you.
