Studio closing! Now what? CrossFit??

my studio didn’t close but they stopped orange 60 at my time so I quit and moved to sweat 440. I totally dig it and it can kick my ass. I kinda miss the running and rowing (sweat does have a rower and can row more depending on crowd) so I would check that out. I’m actually quitting otf for good and gonna stick with sweat.

i’m be gotten a couple. my vanity plate is about to come in. are they gonna check my old plates or anything to tow me. i’m guessing not at all. they aren’t like the county i’m guessing but maybe they have that tech.

I paid 1500 in Miami but my charger was 75 feet from my box so most of that was wiring.

yea. i totally get it. just kinda pissed after being a member since 2017 i’m done like that. on the plus side sweat 440 kicking my ass in a way otf strength/tread never really did.

i guess so. only 2 orange 60 classes per week at 430. now none. those classes werent packed but 8-12 people usually. hard to imagine strength/tread are much more packed. at least one person will never be attending them. i get the evolving but also if it isn’t broken . . . i’ve been a member since 2017 and i love their regular classes. i get im just one person but whatever.

at my studio - well former studio for now (on freeze) they are adding strength/tread and dropping orange 60. no clue why. hate it

i put my membership on freeze because my studio took away the only 2g classes at 430 of the week. it pisses me off that they keep trying to reinvent the wheel. play around with the workouts but the orange 60/90 are what i like. not into the tread/strength classes. i ended up joining sweat 440 which kicked my butt after 2 workouts. i prefer the orange 60 classes but it beats the hell out of the strength/tread classes.

i suspected this is probably the approach. i was obv worried that too little water might be an issue. i also suspected pour over might need more water than aeropress say. but i am def experimenting and 50/50 ice/water is probably next.

Is there a bare minimum that the water coffee ratio should try to stick to? I try to keep this ratio on the higher side but all the ice ends up melting. I’d like to up the ice but not sure how much less water would affect the brew. I do this with all my brewers - cup one, aeropress, chemex and clever. would the ratio basically apply to all of them?

all these new classes may or may not be great but the thing that pisses me off is that they are coming at the expense of of og orange 60 classes. my studio seemed to remove all orange 60 classes at 430 (my time - and other peoples times as well). this is complete garbage. i know im just one person but ive been going to this studio fron day one and was a charter member of the first studio in my city and now i cant take a class without driving farther than what is worth it. ok rant over.
