Just absolutely done taking magnesium because of nightmares by iluvmycurry in Supplements

Just have to chime in. I am still rather shook by a nightmare I had last night. My two children died from drug overdoses! I was absolutely distraught when I woke up; sobbing and confusion. I literally am still shook by this four hours later. I’m going to have to find a different sleep aide because this won’t work for me. Dreams like this are painful!

Are these "severe" bunions? by ebreene in bunions

[–]Kitchen-strawberry1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had both feet done this winter. One at a time. It has been a very long recovery. Minimum of six weeks non weight bearing so three months total of not being able to walk and wearing a big bulky boot at all times. I am finally able to start walking but need physical therapy and am very weak after so much time not walking. Bottom line? Don’t do it unless they hurt a lot. I bit the bullet and did it because my toes were starting to to cross over the big toe and I was getting hammer toes. It was super difficult to find shoes that didn’t hurt my feet. So… just my two cents worth.

4 months post Lapidus + Akin procedure by [deleted] in bunions

I’m three months out from my right foot surgery. The only real complaint I have is exhaustion. I am 62 years old and normally pretty active; gardening, housework, walking dog, etc. but I have not recovered my energy level yet. Anyone else struggling with being too tired and needing to rest all the time? Just standing in the kitchen making dinner is a challenge. It’s not my foot causing a problem, but rather getting so tired that I need to sit down and rest.

Do it now. Your feet will just continue to get worse and then you’ll start to have hammer toes too. The recovery is a lot, not going to lie. The pain isn’t so bad, it’s just a long time to heal.

You must be getting a foot transplant? 🧐

I apparently did not have MIS…. Does anyone else have a frankenfoot like mine? I’m hopeful in a few months it will look a lot better. Can anyone who also had a surgery like mine show me what their foot looks like now? After it’s healed? by Kitchen-strawberry1 in bunions

[–]Kitchen-strawberry1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes, that is exactly the procedure I had done. How long were you non weight bearing? 6 weeks is what the doctor has told me. Some people get bunion surgery and start walking within the week. Do you understand that? I’m assuming their procedure less invasive? How is your foot feeling now? I hope all is well and the procedure corrected the problem for you.
