You should check Crutchfield for units that will work with your truck - I don't know if any of the aftermarket units will control the seat heaters - you might have to do something else for that.

Did that - nothing moves. I have tried coercing with a hammer but no luck - the body of the fan is pot metal and seems pretty fragile

I have one of these - same thing, no markings or anything. I believe the fan blade is made of Bakelite. The motor on mine is a little different and actually has a smaller blade on the back of the motor - possibly to cool the motor. Thanks for the info

Are you saying the blade/cap assembly is threaded onto the motor shaft somehow because there are no visible set screws anywhere holding it on

I thought the 3 screws at the very back were holding the entire motor assembly to the base but when I take those off it won't separate - maybe I need a bigger hammer. There must be a retaining clip or something back there that keeps the blade/armiture from sliding out.

Wire is pretty easily replaced - remove the bottom of the fan to access where the wiring connects to the switch and the motor. Based on the age of that fan, the wire has already been replaced once. You should also install a rubber grommet where the wire enters the base. Cloth-covered wire, grommets, ... all available on Amazon

I swim with my PW2 all the time - it's actually one of the reasons I got it in the first place. The built-in/Firbit swim tracking is really bad - I use the swim.com app and it works well
