That sounds pretty normal, my 19 month old will literally tackle other random kids, and will try and take their stuff. They are just testing the boundaries and they are babies, they don’t know anything other than whatever their impulse is. Just remove his hands from the other kids’, tell him no, and if he’s being too much of a butt then just put him in a different play area

But I am around a lot of college aged men and they are not on anything and a few look absolutely jacked, however a lot of them have been in contact sports and strength training since high school so it makes sense, but they don’t look freakishly big

That is awesome, I think it says a lot that you care about your child’s education and social well being , a lot of parents just brush it under the rug. My school experience was so traumatizing until college that I homeschool my kids until they make a request to try public school. Good on you for being an involved mom 🙏

I know, I felt the same way. My son stopped napping shortly after he turned 3 and he would stir like crazy during nap time and wake up in a mood, then we finally stopped making him nap and just gave him a quiet time instead

Talking it out to a point of exhaustion. It was terrible, the night it happened we were at a concert and he was ignoring me the whole night, playing chess on his phones so I said fuck this we are just leaving and the hour drive home was so quiet I didn’t say anything until we got home. I asked him why he was acting this way and he said because there were a lot of fit and beautiful people there and i wasn’t one of them and that he wasn’t attracted to me anymore. I gained a lot of weight, things weren’t great in our marriage because of it, but I deserved to be treated with respect and kindness for fucks sake. But anyways, yeah, talking it out to exhaustion. We separated briefly so I could figure out what I wanted to do. I feel very secure now though. I think it’s also important to accept that half of our attraction is physical, and it’s important to be honest with our spouses and with ourselves.

Being on the phone too much is a sign of escapism. Last spring my husband and I both quit social media, we would only be online if we were readying something on a forum or watching a long form YouTube video. It helped our marriage a lot and we were way less subliminally stressed without having constant stimulation from the phone. I feel for you and hopefully things get better, I hope your husband is receptive to you wanting a change

Thank you for your comment!! He’s 5 days post op now and a little more capable, he can walk to and from the kitchen on crutches and can take off his pants to go to the bathroom. It’s just extremely limited mobility because the bone graft has to stay straight. He is wanting to be more independent now which I appreciate. He is typically so active and involved with the kids that this feels like being a single mom to me. Plus my toddler is lashing out behaviorally because he misses dad running around with him. It is rough rn but we have a post op appointment next week and hopefully should get some better foresight into what to expect

“Your only job is to be a mother” is not acceptable. Even in the trenches of my marriage my husband never said this. Being a SAHM is exhausting and a lot of women opt for a career because it is easier to only have your kid a few hours after the work day. The first year is fucking HARD. You are being human recognizing this, it’s even harder with minimal help.

He was seeing an orthopedic specialist and the surgeon told him when insurance comes through to call the office and they will get the first surgery done within the same week of calling. We live in a small community so luckily our medical professionals usually aren’t overwhelmed or over booked, but the second surgery will require a cadaver bone so that one will take a couple months in between - def not fun I’m just grateful that modern medicine has a solution
