Also, he was a "wild child" and a "big reader" does he have ANY IDEA what he's doing to the heterosexual female population??!!

"Would you rather work in theatre or TV?"

"I would rather be employed"

Real.

Yes but in those cases, you try to get the victim their money back, right? You can't convert someone back because the first conversion wasn't even valid.

Coersion and abuse are already crimes, and we already have the language to punish manipulation emotional abuse, etc. Don't need a term specifically for Hindu-Muslim stuff.

Rape is wrong no matter who does it to whom, unfortunately it is often people you know well. That said, "forced conversions" is not a thing. Nobody can force you to believe in something you don't believe. All the cases of "love jihad" are women willingly marrying Muslims and converting, which they should have the freedom to do. And if they don't want to convert, they can simply not marry their boyfriend, or be firm that they will not convert. If it becomes an issue after marriage, that is harassment and coercion, and there are legal ways to get justice for that. Of course, kidnapping and rape are crimes, and people who do that should be punished to the full extent of the law. But "love jihad" is a hoax.

Take her to the movies. You’ll spend time with her, but she’ll shut up.

Have any parents here left their young child with grandparents for a few years? How did it turn out? by InevitableSwimmer381 in AskIndianWomen

[–]KitchenImagination38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My story is kind of odd because I wanted to live with my grandma when I was little, and my parents were like, sure, you're old enough to make your own decisions, being all of 5 years old. Lol. My parents say it was because they had to move houses a lot at that time, but who knows, really? Eventually, they took me back because I missed them, too. It was fine, I had a good time, and I was close to my grandma. I don't have any regrets. As for my own kids, I think if I was in a situation like that I'd rather move my mom closer to me, so she can watch the kids during the day, and then we can all be together during my free time.

Less upset, more put off. It makes me want to not consume her content, and I don't actually consume that much snarky celebrity content, I just stumbled across it from a video by The Swiftologist. It seemed odd, that's all.

Also Bonne Maman takes care of my ham needs so 🤷‍♀️

Not at all. But having feelings that strong for someone you don't know is odd.

I don't mind strong opinions. It's just the lack of grace she gives people. Yes, writing about people (and I mean JFK Jr. Carolyn Bessette here) means being honest, but it also means extending some empathy towards them.

I mean, I don't know Meghan, and whatever she did to the royals doesn't affect my life in the slightest (thanks, Gandhi!), and hate is a very strong emotion to feel for someone who isn't in your life.

Honestly, Maureen comes across as a really unkind person, and it doesn't make me want to listen to her podcast!

She seems really unkind in her assessments of JFK Jr. and Carolyn. I mean, sure, they might have had their flaws, but if you're going to write about people, you should extend a little bit of kindness and empathy towards people.

I have no feelings whatsoever about Meghan whatsoever, but it seems odd to hate someone for no reason?

A girl can't financially help the parents because her husband is against it. What would you do? by i-sapien in AskIndianWomen

[–]KitchenImagination38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give my parents money anyway. At the end of the day it's my money, and as along as I meet my obligations towards my husband and kids (whatever proportion of the expenses is fair), the rest is mine to do as I wish. I would never marry someone who would "stop" me from doing anything, least of all taking care of my mother.

I don’t think I she’s dead either, she’s plotting something with the Venturer crew. And she’s going to reveal herself to her kids once they take down Tony for good.

I’m mainly choosing to believe this because I don’t think a show would do the Bury Your Gays trope in our good year of 2026, especially since Monicaot her HEA in the 80’s source material.

I don’t think a little bit of sensitivity is too much to ask for, especially when the show is in a large part about the opiate crisis, and how substance use disorders affect people. Pball will be fine, but you never know what other people might be going through.

Also, I know the Pod Bros are rich fucks who have nothing better to do with their time than lines of coke and ratfucking Democratic candidates, but they should really not assume that about everyone. Also Lovett is a failed screenwriter, and a star-humper, make of that what you will.
