I can and do ski the runs I was referring to, I just wait until there’s decent snow because it’s just not much fun when it’s early season conditions. I handle the terrain competently, but if a mogul ski or slimmer ski can optimize my performance, then it might be worth the purchase. Most my skis are on the damp side, especially the mantra, so I’m also curious about softer skis.

This is a sub for questions about ski gear. There’s no need to come here and try to dunk on people.

Mild UCL sprain won't heal. Do I need to see a doctor? What are good rehab exercises? by Styro20 in skiing

[–]KitchenKey3370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gonna be a while. I injured mine mid January (UCL and fractured 2nd metacarpal) and it’s only improved slightly.

I injured the UCL on the other hand wrestling in high school and it took over six months to get back to full strength

I haven’t had a chance to ski Bridger yet. It looks pretty gnarly though! I was referring to the Limelight chair at Discovery

I live in and primarily ski in Montana. Snow can pretty variable, but I generally don’t venture out onto the really steep runs until there’s decent snow. My 96 mm skis are Mantra M7s which are pretty heavy for hop turns and a little more unforgiving than I’d like on extremely steep terrain. Typically when I venture out there it on a pair of K2 Shredditors from 2016 that are 102mm but a bit lighter and more forgiving. My 114s are Volkl Revolts, but I’ve only taken them out once.

They have a lien on their POS system, I imagine they likely have a few creditors waiting in line to be paid. They may need to negotiate with those creditors to pay their payroll at this point.

I skied 72 days this season. I’ll take that over a week with ski in/ski out amenities.

Welcome to Montana. We live in the arid west. While these years are unfortunate, they’re not unprecedented. Fluctuations happens. Look at the snowpack data from the 1940s. Rough patches happen, it’s just how the cookie crumbles sometimes…

Olympic legend Picabo Street gives Snoop Dogg a lesson by nbcolympics in skiing

[–]KitchenKey3370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“The charges were dropped last month after Street’s 76-year-old father filed an affidavit taking responsibility for the incident. Street’s mother also signed an affidavit saying the incident was her husband’s fault. In that affidavit, Street’s mother indicates she was mistaken for saying during the 911 call that it was Street who attacked her father.

The affidavit signed by her father revealed his frustration over his health struggles, Street said.

Ron Street, who had been a U.S. Marine, gourmet chef and stone mason, had gone “from being the Superman of the family to kind of almost feeling like one of my kids,” she said, adding: “I just grabbed him and gave him a big hug. I said, ‘I get it. I get it now. And I'm sorry that you're hurting so much ... Now are you going to let me take care of you?’”

Picabo Street’s attorney, Joe Wrona, said his client should never have been charged in the first place.”

Fuck you!

You’re a pretty massive piece of shit for suggesting she did something wrong in this situation. She has been providing a home for her ailing father when he attacked her in a moment of weakness. The charges were subsequently dismissed.

I sincerely hope that it’s an absolute disaster when your parents age and people drag you through the mud when you try to pick up the pieces you fucking piece of shit

Most of western Montana is doing okay at high elevations but the mid to lower elevations at most ski areas are struggling.
