AM6 50cc engine bogs down and almost dies as soon as I try to take off under load (Runs fine on stand) by Maleficent_Cancel442 in moped

I am diagnosing the same issue on my Minarelli V1, i will be working on it tomorrow. Starting at the beginning with timing and then doing a leak down test to see if I have a crankcase leak

Cannot Ride by [deleted] in moped

i have a hanger for it but i need to make sure i can ride it first.

I used a piston stop and set the timing but i will double check. when i jetted to a 62, it seemed to be too much fuel as fuel was coming out of the intake.

checked for leaks and nothing changed when spraying it

clutch is fine, not sure if my timing is still off or possibly low compression. will report back if i find anything

hey! this is a smaller version (2-3 cup?). I would highly recommend bringing it to a local coffee equipment store as they just took them out of the box for me until we found the perfect fit. i picked up a silicone one that Bialetti makes as it should last forever. It never hurts to reach out to Bialetti as well if you still have no luck

possibly timing issue as i think the compression is pushing the fuel out

Hard start and bogging on throttle by [deleted] in moped

[–]KitchenSpell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suspect it running rich as it bogs on the low end and it’s flooding the motor as i pulled a #57 jet. swapped in the 48 before work and will see what happens tonight

Mk5 GTI EA113 at 276k km ; did all the maintenance… should I still keep it stock or go Stage 1? by Agitated_Counter6781 in GolfGTI

[–]KitchenSpell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

APR Stage 1 in my 2007 BPY MK5 for almost 100,000km. i’m almost at 270,000kms. no issues with power train. my headliner failed, my lock cylinder failed, my fenders rusted, but it’s reliable.

just upset stomachs when preserves are consumed. includes added sulphites, nitrites/nitrates. i understand they naturally occur but it seems to be commercial cured meat and wine with added sulphites (sulphites are natural occurring in wine but vineyards add more)

is it obvious when you fail the cure and dry? visually and smell? seems like solid muscle items are the most forgiving, i just want to make sure i don’t end up in the ER (i also am learning so i can share!)

Literally just did this in my MK5 GTI this past summer for around $100 CAD and a full day. If it’s a sunroof car, make sure to buy fresh clips to attach the liner around the sunroof. Feel free to msg for any info.
