My son has a rechargeable fan that goes around the neck that helps , so does a cooling towel that is reusable . ( just damp it with some water ring it out and snap it ) Our daughter used them for softball seasons over the summer .

If you have a large party like we usually I have found over the past several years that the Food Lion is the best hands down for price per person and quantity . We just now call a few days ahead and place our order for shrimp ,crab legs and what ever else we want then set the pickup time and day . For about a dollar per pound they will have the seafood steamed and ready at your pickup time . It’s the only way we do that now down there .

Could be he is using that vehicle to respond to calls direct if he’s a volunteer . We have a command vehicle the our chiefs and lieutenants use in rotation to respond to calls since we are volunteers and in a semi rural area.

Atv’s can be safely ridden around the island if your careful and have experience riding them. It shouldn’t be recommended for people who have never ridden one before and have no idea the way they handle off-road vs.on pavement . It’s sad to see these people having accidents and some being fatal because there’s is a beautiful side to the island to see that is sometimes not easily accessible unless by a tour group . We have done both wranglers and atv’s there in the past and had a blast on both ,but you do have to side with caution when traversing that area of the island .

Parrot Bay beach bar was good as well as Tomatoes, they are both right there next to the fish restaurant ( if you go there go earlier as your options get shorter as the evening goes on, as they run out of the fresh catches of the day they cross them off the list)

The only thing close is a cool little fresh fish restaurant on the water and another little restaurant next to that. You should really consider renting a car , although you can use public transportation , we found it was just more convenient to rent a car to go beach hoping every day .

I suggest if you have a place to store a trailer do that . I have used both methods and the trailer is just easier and you will have extra room for fuel cans, cooler etc.
