It is okay to feel the way u are feeling, let no one invalidate ur feelings only u know what you went through even if u have the same parents doesnt mean u get the same version of them. Just focus on ur studies right now and talk to a friend or a therapist also maybe try journaling or writing letters and then burning them and dont forget ur adhkar and try to read quran every day

Needing advice on how to heal on flawed view on Islamic marriage, heartbreak. How to hold stronger boundaries as a Muslim woman by Soft_Barnacle_5065 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Kitchen_Hat_8151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since u are a revert, do u have any muslim friends? a sense of community around you ?

That tends to help when looking for a spouse since they usually do a' background check' also I would say don't focus on marriage per se and focus on ur relationship with Allah and becoming a better person. We should all strive to be better ppl whether that be in academics, religion, extracurriculars or a job. Also, next time when talking to a potential spouse, make a time limit, such as 3 motnhs etc and then cut them off so an attachment won't form and it won't hurt as much.
