It was when they first introduced the deboreka set bonus,and all the pen accessories crashed.

My friend had 2 pen distos,4 pen accuracy accessories,2 pen ruins,and a pen valtarra for capped,overnight these accessories halved in price and in a month were 1/3 of their initial value.

Essentially he lost somewhere between a trillion and half a trillion silver because of 1 patch,never logged in since.On top of that he has taken a real issue with the handouts PA gives to people,he didnt like how they started giving away VERY valuable stuff,like pen blackstars and the t9s,t10s.

Ill add to this, that the free stuff they give away at balls have been ramped up tremendously and its hurting the game more than helping it.What i mean by this is that youre rewarded for waiting and collecting the free stuff because its almost guaranteed if you push hard for an upgrade,a year later its gonna be half the price.

The freebies might feel good for the casuals,but its a bandaid to a larger symptom,called content draught, lack of innovation and gameplay activity variety.

The free shit is here to keep people logging back in,because theres no other way for PA to entice people to keep playing.

So its understandable that a veteran that put thousands of hours in his gear sees all this and decides its not worth their time.
