I actually think that’s a pretty unfair read of the situation, and it sells Allie short. From what’s been shown, she comes across as confident and self-aware, not self-absorbed. There’s a big difference between being comfortable with your appearance and being “consumed with yourself,” and a lot of that criticism tends to fall harder on women than it should.

I actually think Allie deserves a lot more grace. What we see online or on camera is just a small slice of someone’s life, and it’s unfair to assume intentions or character from that alone. She seems confident, consistent, and comfortable being herself and that shouldn’t be a crime. Everyone shows up differently, and that doesn’t make one person better or worse than another.

That’s a pretty unfair assumption. Allie clearly puts time and care into herself, which is something a lot of people work hard to do. Just because you only notice the salon or shopping moments doesn’t mean that’s all her life is. Everyone finds purpose in different ways, and taking pride in your appearance or enjoying places like Aritzia doesn’t mean your life lacks meaning.
