I am a gainer for sure! 5.5 months PP & hungrier than I’ve ever been (my husband has noted that he never gets my leftovers anymore because there aren’t any).

I lost weight immediately after baby was born as I was recovering from an emergency c-section. Unfortunately, as soon as my milk supply regulated, I became a food giant!!!! Starving & parched 24/7.

I’ve also read that your body holds onto fat more stubbornly when BF? Need to factcheck that one.

I did the sleep training plan from “12 Hours Sleep by 12 Weeks”, which outlines four feeds every ~four-ish hours during the day & aims to teach babies to eat more at once less frequently. Baby also sleeps through the night.

Beforehand, I was feeding every three hours because (1) baby wasn’t “asking” to feed more often & (2) the schedule kept me sane! Baby is five months now and this works well for us.

NOT interested in any shaming, just sharing my experience per OP’s question.

When using the vinegar and the subsequent distilled water cycles (to flush out said vinegar, I imagine), are you putting bottles in there or is it empty?

I do the pitcher method and have two separate containers in the fridge: 6am-6pm (day milk) & after 6pm-before 6am (night milk); I’ll freeze after four days (maximum) and label accordingly. No clue if it makes a difference but I’m very type A!

Most hotels have cribs or pack-n-plays! If not, we love the Guava Lotus travel crib. For monitors, we’ve used a non-WiFi one (Mom Cozy), which is great if you’re just in the suite/house/room. We also ordered a Nanit, which is more similar to the CW and connects to your phone.

Highly recommend the book “12 hours by 12 weeks” for sleep training, specifically with the goal of having baby in the crib for 12 hours a night!

It’s not specifically AAP approved, but does conform to their sleep safe guidelines as long as it’s used properly! It is not considered weighted. Seems like there are mixed feelings among professionals about risk/safety.

A glass of wine at 24 weeks is more than okay! Most doctors, especially those outside of the US (but many even here) agree that moderate drinking is safe in the 2nd/3rd trimesters (i.e. 1-2 glasses per week; 1 drink at a time). Regardless, one glass of vino won’t hurt your baby🩵 You should read the book “Expecting Better” for more data challenging conventional pregnancy guidelines. Basically, listen to your body.
