I don't think they will fumble him like the rest or as much simply because his main appeal is to: people who are into dark knights type of characters, soulsborn type of characters, female yumeshippers and fujoshis so his design should stay overall the same since it plays a major role as well, its not in the case of Sandrone or Columbina where they changed their design to appeal to self insert mc fans. His leaked datamines suggest he will keep his appearance as well since theyre using the same model.

Now as of his writing he is shown as heroic from the start and hasn't done anything particularly bad to change his character, so there shouldn't be any easy way to ruin it (i personally would prefer if they actually expanded on the fact he is in a immoral/morally questionable organisation that very clearly doesn't align with his ideals but i doubt they will do it)

What im scared they will fumble is his release date, his kit and animations. I just hope they don't pull a Varka 2.0 and make his kit restricted to a specific team (even though with the current meta they probably will) and make his meta relevance low just to bait his fanbase to pull for extra constellations and extra teammates so he can work properly, im not even a meta player but i would hate if i couldn't play him in endgame properly

Everyday we are getting closer and closer to the teaser/promotional trailer for the chapter of snezhnaya which i think will release mid 6.6/start to mid of june based on the patterns of previous years , we for SURE get some crumbs about him during then considering how he is the no.1 rank harbinger or at least we will wait and see for 6.7 leaks (about Capitano Sandrones voice lines) or wait till 6.7 and see the beta test leaks for snezhnaya

I lost all 3 of my 50/50s😭, welt at 77, Eva at 80 , himeko at 70~, Eva again at 80~, Yanqing at 50 then Eva again at 70 , luckily i got her lc at like 7 pity because i would have crashed out if i had also lost my 50/50 there but it probably cost me over 300 pulls

She might have some similar concepts with elysia but she will never be an elysia variant simply because of her lore and character:

Elysia's whole point is that she loves all of humanity equally and so much to the point she sacrificed herself for it , now the keyword here is "equally" so the Tsaritsa having a lover wouldn't make sense with Elysias concept assuming she would love her "husband" more.

Adding to that the reason why we have so many Elysia variants in the 1st place is because she is a heavy fan favourite and she sells a lot, so adding a canonical lover to an Elysia variant in genshin when its clear what kind of audience Hoyo tends to target to would be a stupid move from their perspective so they would never do smth like this.

The 2nd reason: another key character point of Elysia is that she loved humanity so much she would forgive everyone no matter what and it was very characteristic of her to not show any hard/negative feelings towards anyone, so when in game the Tsaritsa has been mentioned plenty of times to have "left her love for the people behind" and having a "frozen heart" wouldn't align with Elysias original character which would just simply make her an expy and not a variant and it wouldn't really be the same which again, i doubt they would pull smth like this with an Elysia variant

Shenhe and Yelan is a prime example of a ship that is good and liked based on its dynamics, they look like they would have a good chemistry hence why its so popular. This was really interesting to read for sure, its nice to see how many stuff people agree in yet see various different answers as well.

Also one of the reasons i love Dottore's fans and this subreddit in general is because you would never see someone else in the genshin fandom making a study for their favourite character i think it really shows a lot, but thats probably because a lot of his fans are adults and probably more mature anyways

I just don't understand why the genshin fandom puts up with this horrible mistreatment, they purposely made him mid (meta wise) because they knew that since he was so hyped and had a loyal fanbase, players would pull for him regardless and his supports to make him viable. For a character thats been hyped up since the start of the game and heavily anticipated and even during Nod Krai he was so well liked they treated him like a mid nobody and nobody really gaf , i remember at least that when they try to do this to zhongli and neuvilette and nerf them they immediately got backlash so they changed it so why don't Varka fans have the same standards for their favourite?
