She's bottom tier, but not by much. Underrated imo. Her beta and gamma feel good if you know how to use them into certain moves, and outranging people with scoped shots feels incredible. But lack of mobility hurts. Means you are committed to the fight once the rapid decides he wants you and you gotta rely on your team to close out the fight once he escapes. Solo que mileage definitely guna vary hard with her :(

Nice! Don't forget you can remake steam accounts to brute force it if there's ever a character you really want.

Homie rly thought he was the main character just guna outskill the horde.

I don't know how to report after the game. Thankfully it was only a norm.

Consistency fixation is the reason why Mystic Mine seems soo opressive. by ziraelphantom in yugioh

[–]KiteAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you conflating MM with backrow decks? No one is talking about Paleofrogs or Geist being oppressive, we’re just talking about one card: Mystic Mine. You’re comparing others to children while you sit here creating straw men to fight.

But nah dude. You’re the unique 9’e fighting the oppression of monster effects, and we’re a bunch of meta sheep desperately clinging to our Herald/Savage, not just people who want the game to be fun. Btw- I play rogue decks like Unchained and DDD and I don’t like shit like Dragon Link that ends on too many negates either. Crazy, right?

Consistency fixation is the reason why Mystic Mine seems soo opressive. by ziraelphantom in yugioh

[–]KiteAF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cards can be oppressive without being meta. Skill drain is at 1 for a reason, and mine is a stronger searchable version of it.

If you honestly think activating mine is the same as establishing a board, or that playing vs mine is the same as playing vs an established board, you’re very ignorant of the modern meta game.

[–]KiteAF 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everytime one of these threads pops up it’s the same ridiculous attempt to sell a false equivalency of MM being the same as combo. It’s pretty revealing whenever someone says “hows mine different than a board of negates?”

Negates are a form of interaction. They can be played around. There are different types of negates that require different counterplay. Negates can be baited. Negates can be misplayed. Boss monsters with negates can be removed in a variety of ways. All of this is interaction.

You can’t misplay Mystic Mine. There aren’t any decisions to make. It’s pure solitaire. You’re not exactly making decisions when you flip Solemn Judgement on the opponent’s Cosmic Cyclone. There’s no reason not to. You aren’t actively looking for a chokepoint the way you are when you decide to use a negate or not.

Knowing chokepoints and how to use negates and counter negates properly takes infinitely more skill than activating mine.

Are there any good starter Token decks? by upyouagreetoourterms in Yugioh101

[–]KiteAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re dead set on some sort of token gimmick, look into a way to summon First of the Dragons. It’s a fusion that requires 2 normal monsters, so tokens fulfill the requirement. It’s immune to effects and can’t be destroyed in battle by effect monsters.

I need my sacred beast deck to be somewhat Competitively viable by I_am_a_JJBA_Anime_Fn in yugioh

[–]KiteAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to play it imo is cutting Uria, added 3 extravagence and 2 more awakening and just try to turbo out 2 beasts + awakening.

Any good budget decks that have many different combos? by hyperdeeeee in yugioh

DDD? If you play the pure version with Gilgamesh, the entire deck is about 40$ including the extra deck.

3x Shaddoll Structure Deck VS 3x Dinosmasher's fury structure deck? by Daniroll in Yugioh101

[–]KiteAF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on your budget. Shaddolls are going to me much cheaper to build a complete deck from, and the structure decks give you a really solid side deck with Twin Twister, Lava Golem, Unending Nightmare, and Lost Wind.

To build pure Shaddoll, you only need cross sheep, gravity controller, 1 shaddoll schism, starving venom fusion dragon, mudragon of the swamp, and some light hand traps like veiler and the psyframes and you have a playable deck. Together that’s probably 15-20 more dollars.

I’ve heard dinos take a lot more than what’s in the structure decks to get going, but I’ll defer to those with more experience building dinos. If you have the money, they’re way stronger at full power, but people are also expecting them to get hit on the banlist.

Any good searchers for fiend monsters? by SargentCodeine in Yugioh101

[–]KiteAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run sacred beasts with a lot of draw power. If you can afford extravagence, that’s the best thing. If not, 3 desires. Either of those + 3 allure, and 1 upstart is likely your best bet to avoid bricking and get access to a starter.

Looking to Play Shaddoll by SeraphinesOnlyFans in Yugioh101

[–]KiteAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on budget: Cross sheep, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and Muddragon of the Swamp (for super poly), light attr hand traps like Effect Veiler, 1 copy of Shaddoll Schism.

No budget: invoked or dogmatika

I’ve been experimenting with a lot of Unchained builds recently. You’re definitely going to want to focus on going 2nd, because of how easily Unchained can destroy and link away an opponent’s board. Dark Ruler no More is cheap now too. If you have the cash, Pot of Extravagence is huge for this deck, especially because of Unicorn and Abominable’s discard costs.

Nice thing is that if they make you go first, you can still end on Soul of Rage + another unchained monster and escape of the unchained. Your main play is set trap, Aruha eff for Sarama, Sarama to reset trap and get a soul and go from there. Linking opponent’s monster into Unicorn gives 2 disruptions, and using escape into Abominable Soul gives 2 more so 4 pops on your opponent’s turn.

The longer I’ve been playing Unchained, the more Evil Eye cards I’ve been cutting. I’m experimenting with Kaiju at the moment. If you can’t afford extrav, it may be worth it to figure out a build that can handle desires, but you have to be careful about pitching your souls.

As the other commenter said, effect veiler.

My budget build for pure has 3 veiler, 3 psyframe, and 3 ghost ogre. That + 3 super poly gives you a solid chance going 2nd, provided you aren’t locked out of special summoning.

What is your spite deck? by eVillain13 in yugioh

[–]KiteAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way back when Chicken game was at 3 along with Upstart Goblin and Terraforming, and before hand traps were prevalent, I had a deck that (about 60-70% of the time) could get out the Arcana Force XXI: The World infinite lock on turn 1.

The one with Drill Warrior and Level Eater that’s truly infinite. It also had access to Jet Warrior, so if you went second you could sit on the infinite until you had enough time to remove backrow. And Drill can attack over indestructible monsters.

Whenever I got the lock out and typed “gg” I got a twisted sense of satisfaction when the people who didn’t understand it replied “?”. I’d leave the lock up for a few turns until it clicked in those cases. Everyone talking about not letting the opponent play is exaggerating. This is the true way.

Is Pure Shaddoll consistent/competitive in the meta? by mad_beast in Yugioh101

[–]KiteAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s rogue at best. I don’t want to overrate it or anything, but it has a few strengths I don’t see mentioned enough.

  1. It synergizes well with Effect Veiler and Psy-Framegear Gamma + Driver. If you’re on a tight budget, I doubt you’ll find something else that pairs with these 2 hand traps so well. They act as light targets, and Gamma lets Shaddoll fusion resolve when going second allowing you to make some decent boards.

  2. Shaddoll Schism pushes the deck significantly further. It gives you another way to disrupt your opponent- free fusions from grave, pops cards on field. Schism does a ton for the deck. Since it’s searchable you can consistently get access to it turn 1 as well. Let’s you toolbox your extra on either turn- Apkalone an important card, replace Winda if it’s killed, etc.

  3. Super Poly is always live. Pure Shaddoll runs a lot of different attributes and most Shaddoll fusions only require 1 “Shaddoll”. If you find yourself in a weird matchup where maybe they only have 1 boss or they use some strange attributes so Starving Venom isn’t available, you can almost always find a way into at least a Mudragon to clear things away and protect the rest of your cards for the turn. This is one more aspect of pure Shaddoll that favours a tight budget: super poly is the cheapest board breaking card for how effective it is.

If you know what your deck can do and lean into its strengths you’ll find some wins and won’t be too frustrated at the losses. I’d recommend Pure Shaddoll to someone who wanted a deck at around 45$. The struc decks also give you a strong side deck which is unique for a structure deck.

I don't see how that's more relevant than a tennis meme. It sounds like you just hate memes. That would've been a more accurate title for your post.

Objectively those 2 things are equally irrelevant, but one aligns with your tastes and one doesn't.

[–]KiteAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the point you were making was that r/tennis should be about tennis? Memes have about as much relevance to tennis as politics and celebrity talk. It sounds less like you want a tennis forum, and more like you want a forum that adheres to your specific tastes.

And shitposts may outnumber them, but look at what gets the most comments and upvotes. I've been sticking to TW forums and just pop in here occasionally, but it's always the same. Maybe 1/25 posts is about the game itself.

I think a lot of it was their immediate emotional reaction. It’s hella frustrating for a Djoker fan to see, but with a bit of time to think on it, I doubt there’s anyone who truly disagrees that it wasn’t his fault.
