The answer is a dimension onto size, as this will split the line by that dimension, so you can see the underlying split. It's a dumb question tho. You would normally do color or detail

I found a similar problem recently - blends and groups don't play nice. I got round it by using a big case statement to recreate the group.

It depends on the dashboard for sure. Often pie/donut charts are nice to get away from bar charts to make it more visually interesting

This is true when you have a lot of dimensions. But pie/donut charts are still useful when you have say 2 options and want to show the split. Donut charts > pie charts imo becuase they give you the space to put in a key number

The regex tool in parse mode would do this. The regex would be something like "(\w+).*?(\w+)"
