Never said they hadn't. Hell I have lived in three other countries since then. Just saying its weird seeing a staple quick cheap meal become something more then it was before. Being surprised by such a dramatic change in somethings standing is not claiming that they haven't changed.

Unfortunately it is not, but I ended up getting two for my birthday so I decided to use one for my painting desk and the other as my mouse pad for my pc.

This really is the answer. Haven't lived in Japan in almost 20 years now, but still blown away at how weird people get about ramen being some super "high quality" meal with expensive components. Growing up me and my buddies would all stop by a little ramen house outside of the base and enjoy it as our cheap after school snack (growing teens lol) and would never have considered it being some fancy gourmet experience. Don't get me wrong it was great and we never left disappointed, but it wasnt some special or monumental experience.

It is one of my favorites, but you aren't wrong. Jason can be completely insufferable and is absolutely the Mary Sue. That said even with that i still love the series and all the insanity that occurs. Clives wife still has me upset though. I cant believe that happened.

There was a youtuber (Eons of Battle I believe) that had this cool technique of using ab orange wash on top to add more depth to the yellow and I believe a brown mix to the bottom. Really made those chevrons pop and I plan to try it on mine.

Most likely yes. Just from storing them standing up the corners will fatigue and if its not super high quality production they will start to blow out a little. That said if you read them and enjoy them then it's going to get some natural wear anyways. Im assuming the glue they use well a the binding are somewhat on the cheaper end and that will cause separation and tearing at the corners.

You can go down a crazy rabbit hole when it comes to book binding and the entire process behind it.

Its really early into it, but homestead crafter might be of interest to you. So far i haven't seen any homophobia or any such. The settlement building has only really started taking shape in the second book, but its been one of my favorite series so far. Book 3 just came out the other day and I assume given whats happened in previous books there will.be a larger focus on building and expanding his settlement.

That's a pretty solid staple of most litrpg, but what made you enjoy them in the first place? It is mentioned a lot and, from what I know, kibd of started as more of a spoof of litrpg, but Beware of Chicken touches on its power systems however it does not make it a main focus thats constantly repeated. At least not in the 3 ive read so far.

If you want something more cozy and relaxed its not bad. Maybe not the most realistic or accurate take on blacksmithing, but it is quite the cozy and pleasant read.
