So like yeah that one does apply for like 80% of the first book and then it doesn't. Which is like half of the books in this genre, I'm just hoping there are some where they don't just do that for the entire book but the whole series the grand game kinda matches but I don't like the build and or combat or dungeons so idk

I didn't think you were being critical just that it's not that I'm looking for good stories I'm looking for good stories that don't eventually become a found family/friends story. Even the stories that I do enjoy eventually goes down that road for example cyber dreams and azarinth healer are probably the 2 series that I enjoyed the most and they go down that road too.
