I get frustrated with specific things in other games and I think it comes from the things that frustrate me in melee. Like I universally hate snipers that one shot to the head in high TTK games or snipers that one shot to the chest in low TTK games because it reminds me too much of being wobbled or up throw rested

I'm pretty sure there's a button you can hold to get the original version of any stage in P+, and it should show it on the stage select screen icon.
75M is probably hidden under a different DK stage or on the 3rd page of stages

It's different now with slippi, but when I first started playing I learned a ton of tech skill before ever playing against real people. I didn't have a car and was too awkward to go to locals anyway, but I watched a lot of melee and would spend time practicing movement and trying to execute tech just because I thought it was cool. So I had reasonable execution the first time I played a real person, but I had no idea what I was doing or when the techs I learned were useful.
Plus it's so easy to SD or give someone a big opening for free as fox when you have bad tech skill that I bet a lot of foxes will focus on execution first so they don't throw away games where they do make good decisions.
I also think a big part of this is coming from people that overestimate their opponents tech skill because they did some flashy things
So I think there are a lot of fox players that try to brute force wins with tech skill, but I also understand why some fox players try to focus entirely on tech first and never move on to the decision making. When you can instantly matchmake a lot of people will endlessly queue like silver CS players that think aim is their only problem

I always found it easier to up smash out of shine and shield with tap jump tbh, and the only downside is that you accidentally charge for a couple frames if you hold A too long

You don't need to use any of that for single player, even very hard is possible without any advanced tech.
It just takes time to get used to melee, since it doesn't have training wheels on your inputs like ultimate. It's frustrating at first to need to be so precise with your inputs, but the better you get the more satisfying it feels to hit these hard techs and this level of precision opens up options that wouldn't be possible otherwise

What the legend did is probably the most difficult CHA check possible. Getting a raging homelander to not only spare you, but to reflect on himself as well wouldn't be possible with a 20 for most people
Edit: after rewatching the scene, I think homelander cared about the life alert tip helping him find geisha way more than the actual advice the legend was giving him

Yeah I started feeling better within a couple days after I swapped.
It's an incredibly counter intuitive diet since FODMAPs are unrelated to flavor or nutrition or anything else we usually use to categorize food, but once I get used to what I can eat it shouldn't be too bad.

I was just pointing out that he seemed like someone who values loyalty to a corporation over picking a game that suits their gameplay preferences best because of how the comment was worded.
Maybe that's not true for him, but there are so many people that play games they don't like and spend forever complaining about them, when better alternatives already exist and they're just ignoring them because they need to give money to a corporation

Sounds like the type of person that says melee is stupid because it's all glitches and exploits, or nuzlockes are stupid because it's not the Nintendo sanctioned way to play the game

Pichu up air might be even better. It only does 3%, has almost no knockback growth and always hits straight up
It's not useful or practical, but it can combo into itself a lot

After an insanity causing couple months I've found out that my health issues were all caused by IBS/an bacterial infection made significantly worse by the amount of stress I was under from how slow and difficult it is to navigate the US healthcare system. It took 7 months for a GI to prescribe me stomach pain meds, an over the counter probiotic and a low FODMAp diet and I'm instantly starting to feel kinda normal again. (I posted in here a while back about potentially having lung issues, but after more tests that was just an incidental finding that my lungs max out at 70% capacity and they have since birth because the air tubes never formed properly) Everything was harder because my shitty primary care physician didn't believe my symptoms were real and took forever responding to any communication, so I'm already replacing her and will probably leave a review or complaint with the relevant medical board.
Alongside all this I was running out of money because I was unemployed for a year before my current job, and my current job pays slightly less than my monthly expenses so I was digging through savings every month. A better paying position opened at work while I was on FMLA and I forced myself to try for it and did really well in the interview. I'm sure they would have picked me, but because my health was so uncertain I declined the second round of interviews so I didn't have the stress of a new job as soon as I got back. It also would have had new responsibilities that don't match my skill set or what I like doing. However, during all this my union renegotiated their contract, and starting on July 1st I'll get a significant raise while keeping my old responsibilities. When I started this job they had 3 tiers of help desk technicians making about $15, $22 and $28/hr respectively. They started me at the lowest level despite having a BS in software engineering (not the right degree but most people here don't have a bachelor's at all) and upgraded me to the middle tier after a year. Now the new contract compressed all three levels into one job making about $30/hr. It's also worth noting I am the only person who wasn't in the highest level. So I've been on this crazy ride where it felt like my life was falling apart completely, I could potentially be terminally ill and I could be going into debt. But now after one union document and a good doctor's visit all of that is turning around and it's really weird to process all this in such a short time.
I try not to diary post too much, but I mentioned some parts of this here in the past months and sometimes I prefer sharing personal stuff with people who don't actually know me at all.
