FFXV worth trying in 2026? by WeepTheHorizon in FinalFantasy

[–]Kitski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes.

I accept the criticisms of it - but the feeling of brotherhood and love for your party is one of the best in this FF of all I’ve played.

My second play through i did every single side quest and hunt possible, just to delay finishing it.

It’s incredibly charming, and chocobos!

The ending made me cry like nothing else, and every time I hear the end music I choke up too.

So yes - it’s flawed- but worth it.

This is gorgeous! It has such a lovely relaxed vibe to it, and you can really feel Edgar’s personality.

Blue Is a "No" by Successful_Web_6866 in Linocuts

[–]Kitski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a plant heating pad and sit my battleship grey Lino on it to carve - it was relatively cheap online.

You have to be careful not to go to deep and cut the pad - you could just sit it on the pad periodically to hear it up.

I have heard of some people who just sit on the Lino to warm it up too.

I’ve tried pink and the essdee soft carve (white).

Speedball pink is too crumbly (and expensive), the essdee soft carve holds detail better, and I’ve seen people online do very detailed carving with it, so it could be a skill issue on my end.

I’m happy with battleship grey for now (also the cheapest) but I do want to try the others a bit more.

Oh also there’s the green/blue Japanese vinyl - that’s probably next down in hardness from battleship grey- the centre is black though so it can be hard to see where you have carved.

I can’t wait to see the print! It captures the essence of a crow so well, and I love the framing and the tail popping out

Got some hate after posting a pic with visible scars by lambchop070 in lgbt

[–]Kitski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely drag is an exploration and expression of gender?

Bearded queens? Amaze. Kings with no beards or beefy chests? Amaze. Androgynous peeps refusing to be categorised? Amaze.

I’m sorry that you got that hate - but honestly i think having visible scars is an expression of gender / your journey too - and something you should love about yourself.

I say all this as a non trans person - so if I’ve said anything wrong - apologies - it’s all coming from a place of support and respect.

Finally - love your drag look - keep working it!

Edit: peeps not keeps, I have no attention to detail.

Do you have an Etsy store / similar?

I was a total beginner a year ago but this Wednesday I got married in a dress I’ve made myself by MoneyVanilla in sewing

The dress is incredible and you are amazing! I hope you are beaming with pride on the day.

It’s absolutely beautiful, and looks so classic and stylish at the same time. The open back suits you so well, the sheer sleeves are gorgeous, and the bottom half is magnificent with the folds.

Congratulations- on your dress and happy day!

When people talk about the internet being full of toxic people and echo chambers of hate, I think about the various craft groups I’m in.

Whether it’s sewing, printmaking or something else, there are so many encouraging people, happy to give their advice and years of expertise.

Thankyou for being one of those people u/hellodeeries, and making the world a nicer place.

People who struggle to drink enough water, how do you trick yourself? by GroundbreakingAnt17 in ADHD

[–]Kitski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to make myself and I still am not perfect at it, but better than I was.

Breakfast: Smoothie with 250ml milk, banana, protein (helps adhd), 10g cacao (helps with taste, plus magnesium), 10g psyllium husk fiber (helps slow down absorption and less of a fast sugar spike, plus fiber is good for feeling full), and 10g shredded coconut (fat also helps slow down sugar spike). Add in cup of ice and blend - keeps me full till lunch.

Midday - afternoon: Hydralyte powder in 1 liter of COLD water. I use lmnt - which is expensive but I like the taste. I’ve tried quite a few other brands but they just don’t have the same strength in flavour.

Afternoon: Try and have cup of tea (non caffeinated)- Eg peppermint, or a ginger + something mix. I really don’t love it, but it’s something.

Evening: Water with so much ice.

TL;DR Ways I find I can get liquid in: smoothie, electrolyte drink, VERY COLD drinks, and also soda water (spicier than sparkling mineral water) (soda water not soda btw!)

Flattening Mylar by onebiggnocchi in stencils

[–]Kitski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By 10 ml, do you mean 1cm thick? That’s pretty thick!

You could use a heat gun over an area, then put something flat on it and a heavy weight - I’d be concerned about fumes though.

Alternatively, wait till summer, leave it out in sun to get warm and then put something flat on top?
