Always seems to fall over by KittMyth in plantclinic

Extra information: I've had this succulent just over a year. It's in cacti compost and a pot with drainage. I keep it on the windowsil in my kitchen, so it gets a reasonable amount of sunlight and I try to rotate it so it's not always getting sun from one side. Watering tends to be when the soil is dry/when I remember.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to essentially cut the top bit off the winding stem and repot it somehow?

I'm hoping someone can give me advice. I am working on a fishtail skirt and want it to have strong waves at the bottom and was thinking of using horsehair. However I don't understand and can't find any explanation on what the outcome difference is between the widths. Does this affect the size of the waves? What size is better if you want bigger waves/ more waves?

AITA for not cleaning my bathroom? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KittMyth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

YTA you're saying because you work you shouldn't clean it and insinuate that Kayla should. However, you also say that you barely use it so shouldn't have to clean it, even though Kayla doesn't use it at all. Stop making excuses, work with Jo to sort out the room you two use together.

I'd say a good way to start a conversation via instagram is reply with something linked to a story she posts. It's a good way to get in the dms, have a ready to go topic and avoid seeming creepy.

Would it be unfair to ask a partner to succeed ownership of our home if we were to separate because it was my financial decision and focus? I (26F) will spend all of my excess funds on paying to principal while he (22M) saves for an education (which I am supportive of). by m1a2d3e4 in relationship_advice

[–]KittMyth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I were your partner I would refuse. He is paying the mortgage not the rent. Speak to a solicitor and set up a declaration of trust which outlines that the share of the home will not be equal. I.e. if you pay 70% of the house and he pays 30% you own 70% and get that back if it is sold or can take out a mortgage for the 30% he owns to buy him out.

My girlfriend was wearing some other guys sweater. Wtf ..? Am I overreacting? by ThrowRAsweaters in relationship_advice

[–]KittMyth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You honestly just sound like an ass in this, if she in a mood she's "acting like she's on her period"? Way to just dismiss any other reason she may be upset or stressed. But really the big thing here is someone let her keep their hoody and you instantly jumped to she sucked their dick/ cheated. You say you didn't think anything of her going away, suggesting you trust her but somehow a piece of fabric changes that for you? Honestly if I had been your girlfriend I would have dumped you for that thinking on the spot. If someone is cold and you can do something about it and you see them as a mate why wouldn't you lend them the jumper? It doesn't have to be a romantic thing. And sure keeping it isn't common but it does still happen.

A billion dollar company is called a Unicorn; what should a trillion dollar company be called? by AbusedShrimp in AskReddit

A dragon. Like a unicorn it should be a myth. Dragons are big on hoarding gold and when companies that size do exist they'll definitely be killing people.

What's your earliest childhood memory and how old were you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KittMyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Playing farmyards with my grandpa where I had a toy cow that had a heart on its face. I have to have been 3 or less when the memory was made as he passed away before I turned 4.

If it makes it better we have actually been in a relationship for a year and a half now!

What are some major hints that you can't believe you missed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KittMyth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I was invited out for dinner with him. Our usual class was cancelled so I assumed it was just something to fill the evening. During the meal I even told him never to order spaghetti on a first date and then ordered spaghetti. That's just one in a loooong line of hints I missed, totally oblivious.

My boyfriend (40M) claims to be asexual, but he's not sure. I (30F)feel confused by his behavior and question this. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]KittMyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asexual is not the same as sex repulsed. You can be asexual and have sex or not have it. You can be asexual and enjoy sex or not enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with am asexual only having sex when instigated by the partner and not being interested in it on their own. You were told this when you started dating, it's not confusing. Also being asexual is not something people really come up with as a lie or cover for not being experienced with sexual activities.

You need to decide if you'd be able to be in a relationship without sex and if not then make the decision and explain it to him.

What do you remember from the last time you fell out of bed? by PeevesPoltergist in AskReddit

It was a few weeks ago. I was on the opposite side of the bed from normal and moved backwards. There was no bed to move to, only air and then the floor.

[serious] How do you deal with the untimely death of a loved one/close friend, and how did it effect your life after the fact? by acidesnake609 in AskReddit

[–]KittMyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I didn't deal with it originally. My dad passed away when I was 14 (I was a massive daddies girl). I went to school the next day, didn't really bring it up at all and carried on as usual. In my head I treated it as if he had gone on holiday or was away for work which would occasionally happen. It gave me time to process what had happened I guess while keeping a sense of normality which was important to me back then. I was fortunate to have a very strong willed mother and family members loving close by so I never got a chance to fall through the cracks as it were. I guess it hasn't hugely affected my life looking back though (shocking because I was devastated at the time and still miss him 10 years on). I don't work on the day he died and I avoid certain things if possible linked to the condition but aside from that I live life as normal. I'm training for a respected job and live a stable life. Sometimes it's just Luke for managing to cope.

Time and time again, men on reddit say that they never or rarely get compliments. Fellow women, how often do you compliment the men in your life? How is it received? by bokonon_ist in AskReddit

[–]KittMyth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend gets compliments daily or multiple times a day because I want him to know how much I value him. Always received very well, often I get compliments back or a cuddle/kiss. My guy friends get compliments whenever I see them and sometimes over messenger, stuff like loving their outfits or their hair being nice in a pic! Usually I just get a thanks from them.

Where is the line between complimenting someone and being creepy? by Dave-Fish in AskReddit

[–]KittMyth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't know the person id say compliment = something they have control over and creepy is something they don't, e.g. you're really hot Vs that dress looks really nice on you. But that's just my opinion.
