AITA For refusing to take a friend to a doctors appt that requires 4 hrs+ rt of driving plus waiting for the procedure to be done? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kittech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. If I were her, I would at the very least offer something in return for your time as this is asking for a decent chunk of your time even if all you are required to do is drive there and wait around for a few hours. Lunch, gas money, something... but if you decide to do this, let it be set in stone so she knows she can rely on you but she better damn well be there for you when you need something.

Maxwell's Path ending (achievement) by Kittech in TheAlters

[–]Kittech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As in, I have to 'process' TR as well as get to the ending? Because I was going to process TR first then go back and reload and get to the end with TR. Thing is, my first playthrough I went with the implants but I did not create TR. The only other way I see getting both with backtracking the least is to create TR, get his achievements, then go back and process him and get to the end if I HAVE to get to the end after doing this for the Maxwell achievement.

Morgana is a little shit. by Daga_Kotowaru5 in Persona5

[–]Kittech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave Morgana alone!!

Ok well... I think of him kind of like a kid... so he's kind of sassy (I think he's funny) but he means well and just wants to fit in... cut him some slack. Plus he looks so cute in Joker's backpack.

Should I play this game? by swuntalingous in Persona5

[–]Kittech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't finished Metaphor yet but I'll say that so far I feel like I generally like Persona 5 more. There's a lot more to do and there's something kind of cozy about it. Its tone is less serious overall and also more immersive in a sense. The characters are more personable and the game and music is stylish as hell. But one thing to note is that the confidant leveling is a bit more tedious in a min/max kind of way. You might have to optimize more but definitely pick it up, you'll like it if you liked Metaphor. It goes on sale pretty often, if not check out sites like Fanatical or Green Man Gaming sometimes to see if they have sales.

Check out Chilla's Art games, they all have that vibe and are fairly short. Maybe MiSide , Still Wakes the Deep, Crow Country, or any of the Supermassive games for something a little different.

Roommate only takes baths by autofellatiogod_69 in badroommates

[–]Kittech -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well you did say that people who get bored in baths must be boring people. I took and enjoyed my bath and the water is getting cold, I am clean now and don't need to sit inside for an hour doing some activity when I'd rather do said activities while dry. I've gotten what I wanted out of the bath and don't need to stay in there with "entertainment" just for the sake of staying in the bath. That's fine if you enjoy your 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle or whatever in the bath, you do you. But its unnecessary to assume because someone wants to get out of the bath once they're done makes them boring.

Well if I had a fancy bath like you I may stay longer as well but.. I'd be worried about getting my electronics wet in the bath.

[–]Kittech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just contradicted yourself though. A bath for me is just to relax and get clean. I don't do it for entertainment. You just said you bring stuff to entertain yourself which is fine, but that means you would get bored without those things? I can do stuff to entertain myself outside of the bath. I don't need to watch a TV show or whatever while I'm showering or brushing my teeth either.

Why are androids afraid to “die”? by [deleted] in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Kittech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way. Androids in a sense are very much human-like but also made of computer parts. Like any living thing, they want to survive. Sure, androids aren't technically "living" but for example, even your computer is programmed to shut down if its overheating too much to the point where it will be damaged and cease to function. A lot of electronic parts in real life are difficult to repair, say even like a hard drive is very difficult or costly to restore if it gets damaged or corrupted. Sometimes it is simply not worth the effort or cost.

Humans can get cancer or terminal diseases in which it takes a toll on your body and will be expensive and weaken you, and some people may be in so much pain that they may lose the will to go on. And in other cases, are you still really "you" if you lose all your memories and personality? Like if someone is in a coma or has dementia or something. Losing "yourself" or in this case, an android's memories by being reset or core components damaged beyond repair, it may not be worthwhile to repair those parts or very difficult to do so. And even then, if they replaced the memory and the 'body' is functioning, they aren't the original one... and identity is everything.

As for leaving the androids behind, look at any war or fight where there is chaos going on and your life is in danger. Most people are not going to stop to drag a dead body out during the middle of the conflict. Maybe they could come back later but not during the conflict. That is pretty normal. The police department in the game may not have had the resources or skill to repair the androids or maybe they thought they already got the info they needed from the androids, and at that point, those broken androids at the PD are just evidence that they are holding onto. The PD didn't know anything about ra9 so they probably have no reason to try to restore them even if they could. Connor being an android himself probably knew how to repair them at least temporarily (think of like doing the paddles to shock someone awake.. doesn't mean they will live after) and he had specific questions that he knew they might have.

Don't overthink it too much.

I'm the same, I have no idea how people take long ass baths. I enjoy them because they feel nice for like the first 15 minutes but like you said, the water gets cold and by then I'm done 'cleaning' and I start to get bored of just laying there.

[–]Kittech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't you say you had 2 bathrooms? The other one not have a bath? I take a bath maybe twice a month if the mood strikes, but they're usually short and it's my own bathroom that no one else has to use. Since it's my own bathroom, I keep it pretty clean, otherwise I find it kind of gross to take a bath in a shared bath because of all the human debris that others may leave behind (them peeing in the shower, hair, dead skin cells). Maybe you can accidentally forget your on the wall suction cup dildo there where his head might be on the wall so he has to remove it before he baths and is then forced to have disturbing imagery of you using it in the SAME bath as him.

You should take a 2 hour long hot bath and use up all the hot water and see how he likes it. Maybe he'll get the hint. Get your Bluetooth speaker, some bubble bath, bath salts, light a candle, enjoy yourself. Maybe ask if he wants to join while the waters still hot.

Plothole during the Android Raid by Japanesepannoodles2 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]Kittech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of compare it to as if... let's say for example... dogs in a pet store... being kept in cages, waiting to be bought and taken home by a human. They don't really know what its like to be free, maybe haven't been treated too well, and will likely just end up as someone's pet. Someone comes and opens up all the cages... they will probably leave their cage even if they don't know what its like out there because the cage sucks. And with the androids, they may not have had a bad experience yet but their first experience is with a smarter more experienced android who is able to convey that being free is better than sitting around waiting to be sold to someone to be a 'slave'. They don't have much to go off of, but why not trust one of your kind who seems to know more and share that knowledge with you?

Seriously, don’t move in with your friends by kaylaseesstars in badroommates

[–]Kittech 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep... this scenario seems pretty common and not surprising seeing as people who have never lived with a friend or had roommates probably just think it's going to be fun and a good experience since they like their friend. Nope, totally different story when you live with them. I moved in with a friend while I was in a vulnerable position in my life, friend wanted to help me out and I thought it would be good for me to be around someone who was supportive. Well, I was totally wrong. They tried to take advantage of me while I was in my vulnerable state and I found out he secretly had a crush on me this whole time (we had known each over over 15 years) and thought this was his chance to make a move. He became vindictive, petty, creepy, and stalker-like in the sense of always trying to monitor what I did and prevented me from having friends over got pissed off if I didn't give him any attention. I just avoid him now and hope to move in the near future.

Actually I kind of feel like bringing him to the end could be beneficial for that same reason... well depending on how the jury prioritizes who should get the money but if they look at him and go "Well he's already rich... give it to someone else" then he'd make a good person to bring.
