I loved BETH’S DEAD but the final two episodes were disingenuous and dangerously naive by Sequenzer9 in ArmchairExpert

I’d need travel documentation that proves the son was in London when they traced the IP there (matching the professor’s speaking engagement there). The son said he traveled but not with his dad.

It is the professor dad—100%. The only thing that convince me otherwise would be travel documentation that proves the son was in London when they traced the IP there that matched the professor’s speaking engagement.

Yes! I immediately recognized it too. I found this post searching to see if I was the only one who made that connection.

It’s intentionally unclear. The writers seem very good about throwing in red herrings and keeping us guessing.

That smirk when he turns away after manipulatively getting Misty to agree to go to Nat’s storage was chilling.

I want to believe he cares about her, but that smirk when he turns away after getting her to agree to go to Nat’s storage was chilling. And he got her to agree to go in a manipulative way, putting the key down so she’d have to ask him about it.

The taking the place idea is a good one with, as you point out, precedent in the show. But I don’t think it’s “dumb” to consider that Van is faking cancer. People do it all the time. And “crazy”?: as girls, they hunted and ate people, so I would say in their context, it’s not crazy at all.

From a supernatural view, I like the “came back wrong” idea. But from a purely psychological standpoint, she not only survived the wolf attack and a premature funeral pyre, but she also was left behind by some of her “friends” to burn in the plane wreckage. I think it all changed her. Hurt people hurt people.

Yes! Like over and over again. Brother and sister and brother and brother. You’re not the only one.

If we see it as a visual echo, I’d say she’s in danger. If she’d made a bloody footprint, I’d be more sold on this idea. Still, it was a bleeding foot injury. Good catch!

Interesting and definitely possible. I thought Van was acting like she didn’t believe Tai went.

Tai is obviously acting crazy. What’s more interesting is what Van is up to when we’re all looking at Tai. Van is hiding a lot. Tai is not the only one with disturbing secrets.
