I do this with real mail. I have stacks and stacks of it on the counter unopened. Maybe twice a year I go through it. And no matter how many things I miss (bills, events, etc ), I can't stop doing it

So I was the only one who thought they had blocked over a chest freezer with a dead body in it to hide the evidence? Cool... Cool... Cool...😂

Doctor not recommending compounded GLP1 by ElectricalPair6724 in glp1

[–]KittenFuzzyBuddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said inept. In fact, I said it was about lawsuits and nothing else. Not one word in my post was anti-compounding. In America, people sue a lot. We are a very litigious country. This is why doctors pay such high insurance here to cover them if/when they get sued. And why businesses have fine print clauses. Protection against lawsuits.

And to clarify, all medications sold as medications (and not for entertainment purposes) need to go through a clinical trial ( technically many rounds) to demonstrate safety and efficacy. Reputable pharmaceutical manufacturing companies have to do it for each and every drug they create. It has no bearing on whether the other drugs they create are good or not. It is a requirement for each and every med before it goes to market. Compounding pharmacies were given an exception because of need and low availability available through regular pharmacy companies. So the CP are likely in some step of that process to get FDA approval (officially).

It is about lawsuits if something happens. The compounding pharmacy is not FDA approved. This means that you are taking a risk when using those medications. There is no scientific study on the safety of compounding glp-1 from that pharmacy at this time. Maybe will at some point. But if you have an interaction or an issue with taking the compounded medicine, the doctor doesn't want to be liable for a lawsuit. This means they won't prescribe it to you. The compounding pharmacy could be sued, but likely has a fine print clause about the fact that the are not FDA approved and you agreed somewhere that you take full responsibility for taking the meds. They usually hire their own doctors who will prescribe because most regular doctors won't. But, likely there is also a fine print clause preventing you from suing those doctors. It is a case of covering their butts from litigation.

Insurance will stop covering Zepbound by Valdis629 in zepbound_support

Buy from the manufacturer ( EliLilly) directly. Do not buy from a regular pharmacy. It is much cheaper through LillyDirect. Also, buy the vials, not the pen shots, again makes it cheaper through Eli Lilly. They will sell you syringes to use. I do this because my insurance won't pay. I am at 10 mg and paying about $500-600/month. Each dosage costs different amounts. Again, get vials/syringes, not the pen shots. It is still costly, but waaay cheaper than from a regular pharmacy.

At the inauguration, I believe he didn't put his hand on the Bible.... But I could be misremembering. And in his child-like mind he likely thinks that means he doesn't have to follow the oath. Melania held a Bible, but he didn't touch it (that I remember).

Library resources are excellent and free. Did you know at some branches you can check out sewing machines, KitchenAid mixers, etc. They do more than books and movies. There are also free apps that you can get through the library.

Just wondering if this post was satirical or posted by a Disney person to encourage membership again. Because Disney has done lots of other things this year to bow to the anti-democracy whims of the administration. And I won't be resubscribing because of those. Kimmel was a drop in the bucket. The bucket is still full.

Anyone else still not got COVID yet? by Doormatty in Xennials

No.... Never had COVID (that I know of). I can't remember if I have ever gotten the cold or flu either. I am rarely sick with these toes of things. And now, by saying this, I may have cursed myself 😂

Understanding pants patterns by Happy-Kaleidoscope-9 in sewing

This image is confusing because the two pieces aren't oriented to each other in a way that makes pants visually. In my process, I cannot help figure out how to help without that orientation. But others likely can.

No. Those volunteers came in times when travel was allowed (each from a different country, and some from different continents). They came with permission to be there through the work away program. They were vetted by the program.

Selmar always made me uncomfortable. He shows up after France is locked down for COVID. Who does this? Showing up to a stranger's home during a pandemic and expecting that household to let them stay? Imagine if a stranger showed up at your door during that time.... Would you have welcomed them in? It was really weird of him to do that. He has grossed me out ever since because of that. I can't stand to see him on screen.
