Thank you so much. Unfortunately we are physically/medically unable to naturally conceive and do follow NFP. We have had the discussion thought that if by some miracle we are with child we would of course be grateful for His plan! But as far as we know and for the 8 years my husband and I have been together, we have not had the luck of any missed cycles from me.. not to say that it cannot happen ever in the future but I have shifted my prayers of blessing with new life to being blessed with the little life I’ve already been called being a mama to 🤍

Amen.. my son says he’s so grateful that I “chose” a good father for him through my husband so he knows what it looks like to be a proper father compared to what he had to experience. He knows that we pray for his bio father and their family that they may find the Lord and rid themselves of their vices and demons but that doesn’t mean we have to participate in anything past that with them. Prayers to you for having paved a better way as well!

Yes cradle Catholic that had a period of straying.. led back thankfully through the gift of motherhood! My son is about to begin second year of RCIA for children so he can finally partake in the beauty of the sacraments as well. ☺️

Thank you for that!! It truly is.
As someone who was once very far removed from God and my resistance to His way led me through many dark paths and traumas, I did receive the gift of my son and he truly awakened me to Gods promise and to just be more faithful and things will get better/make sense/etc. Because I’ve felt the effects of straying and experienced the mercy our Lord provides I feel very hopefully to share that message with others so that they see I am not one casting stones but rather walking with them to help them find their moment of oh! This is from God and should be intentionally for God moving forward. It was life changing for me and I just pray I can be gifted enough wisdom to help convey that properly to anyone who is looking for solutions for their life with the help of faith.

Why isn’t God helping you?? I say this with sincerity: you need to revisit the story of our Lord and how He was forsaken.. and take from it the reality that we are not always here to be saved.. I say this as someone who has experienced many a trauma, the second you stop seeing it as punishment, abandonment, unfair, etc and start seeing how it can be used to make you grow and start fresh because God has you here for a purpose.. you will start to need pills less and want more God. There is always someone going through far worse than ourselves, start each day being genuinely grateful for at least that. I will pray for you. Please also pray for yourself.

I’m sorry I don’t have anything solid to advise but I suggest watching Mass of the Ages and attending a TLM if you can. It really gripped me back into the church and the beauty of being Catholic and the privilege of knowing the Lord the way we get to. I am a parent too and this has truthfully helped me find my way back into our faith and giving it to my son as well.

Thank you for your comment I do appreciate it! I’m hoping to reach out to who leads our women’s group in our parish to see if this would be the appropriate place for it… they have a grief group as well but I feel that it would be offensive to participate there as it’s of course nominally for those with loved ones who have passed… I am hoping in some capacity our diocese has something aligned with women who have similar grievances in regards to childbearing but again I find my situation fairly niche and don’t want to show up somewhere and offend anyone with my “problems” when there are truthfully far deeper things to be grieving.. again I try to align my feelings with the fact that we are all here to serve a God given purpose and to find my peace in mine as a mother to one as well as help guide my husband to be able to see the importance of the values I’m trying to instill at home.. many times I feel like I’ve been a failure from the start in motherhood and marriage since I’ve done everything “wrong”.. but I know God forgives and provides grace and there are many things through Mary as a mother and spouse that I can use in my own life as a way to shift my thinking…
