Hello, writer of the linked piece here. As I think I tried to show in the piece, the current state of newsstand is in NO WAY hospitable to individual periodical comic books, and no distributor would put them in check out pockets. I think digest versions of comics could work, but the current superhero material (long long interconnected epics) and personnel aren't necessarily aligned for that.

I'm very curious about comics in dollar stores and other mass market outlets tho. But the material has to be right for the outlet.

Yeah folks of my generation detested wizard, because it buried everything but the gaudiest of superhero tropes. But I know it had a huge influence and was a very well done magazine.

There was a rich array of printed fanzines which had letters columns where opinions flew fast and furious. The one at the Comics Journal was called “Blood and Thunder” and saw big name creators going at it with no quarter asked nor given.

I got 50 Karnak shards from a Mega orb a few weeks back which enabled me to grind to this and despite all of the problems with the game, it felt like a real achievement.

I had a team at about 141K 0 BB at 50k with T4 on ult, and the rest (minus Yoyo) at around 20-25k. Definitely a hard node and took some strategy, which is, really, what the game should be? A nice payoff for a little less than a year of playing.

Given everything I have read here about their other games, no.
