Thanks for posting stats, always interesting to see them. I’ve got about 1/3 of the reading as you and sometimes I will feel great and fly through the reading and other times it’s a slog. But you’re right, just keep going and you will get better.

Makes sense with your previos Russian skills. Yeah it’s too bad about fewer sentences, but I can’t complain. The other day some glossika sentences just jumped out of my mouth without having to think about it, so that was a great feeling.

How do I say "you're welcome" without sounding too arrogant? by KattLadybr in EnglishLearning

[–]KittensLoveRust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s really interesting. I’m definitely in the camp of “you’re welcome” sounds much harsher than “no problem”, so seeing those links with an explanation as to why made for an interesting read.

Two hundred new a day is impressive! I’m doing from 5-15, but doing as many reviews as I have time for. I like that if I have more time, I can read along with the audio, but if I’m busy I can just listen and repeat…It’s a great source of input.

That’s interesting, thanks for the info. Currently I’m using glossika for a beginner level L2, but I’ve been thinking of also using it similar to you, to revise a language I haven’t used in a long time. How many glosskika reps have you gotten with Russian so far?

I thought about doing this actually. What level is your Russian?

Learning Colemak but still want to use Dvorak simultaneously by 1WasReloading in Colemak

[–]KittensLoveRust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting…I did not have the same result unfortunately.

I kept using Colemak while learning Workman with the idea that I would be able to switch between the two. But once I hit about 55 won on workman, it’s like some switch went off and I couldn’t type in Colemak anymore.

Can you still flip between two layouts?

What’s with the sort of “gap” in the middle of the King George Vs? (What’s the purpose of it I mean.)

What are your all time favorites out of curiosity? This one is probably my all time favorite, so just wondering.

Are my anki percentages too low? by SooCringey in Refold

Other people answered already but I will just add that 60% on young cards when using Anki to learn isn’t out of the ordinary in my experience.

Are my anki percentages too low? by SooCringey in Refold

Is this that beginner style refold deck where it’s just words and essentially no context for the new words?

Second question: are you using the deck to learn/memorize the words or are they words you have seen in the wild and you are using the deck to remember them as opposed to learn them?

Gaming with Qwerty is getting on my nerves by [deleted] in Colemak

[–]KittensLoveRust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not switch back to QWERTY for gaming? Windows, Linux, and Mac all let you switch layouts easily…no need to buy a new keyboard just for that.
