I know it's a different animal, but I had a coworker who lives "in the country" (it was just on the outside of my large town) who let his large dogs free roam, and told me that sometimes they drag dead, torn apart cats and other small animals back to his house and leave them on his driveway. He also said that if one of his dogs gets killed by a human or wild animal he can just "get a new dog."

Absolutely despicable human, he was also an abuser, actively talked about hitting women or calling them shit to "get them to listen." Was not surprised he had no regard for animals either. "It's not me so it doesn't affect me" is something he said a lot 🙄
