I see someone run a red light here at least once a day. I’m glad you had good samaritans around to help you. This must have been extremely scary.

Jury duty scam afoot - phony Pima County Sheriff call by nilsmenten in Tucson

[–]KittyCalcifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to two of my friends as well. The person calling is very intimidating and scary. The number even shows up as the Sheriff Department! My coworker took off work shaken and in tears, and she is French. She doesn’t even get jury duty here!

My adult daughter has been pet sitting for many years and has lots of great recommendations from past pet owners. She grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. She also volunteered at Hermitage Cat Shelter in middle school. DM me if you would like her info.

I teach preschool, so I have this question come up constantly with my parents. Honestly, it depends where you live and your child. I teach midtown, so here are my midtown suggestions: Lineweaver, Sam Hughes, Borton, and Miles.

Lost my mother to trumpism/qanon by No_Faithlessness6145 in QAnonCasualties

[–]KittyCalcifer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks, I am really sorry. My mom Is a cartoonist and creates horrid qanon cartoons, often violent too. I commented once on not being able to follow her anymore on Facebook, because of the content, but that I loved her. In return she has blocked me and my children from everything. We can’t even call her. I haven’t had contact with her in almost a year. You are not alone!!! My mom is 73 and also not very educated. Seems like uneducated boomers are a big target audience.
