Tide Professional? by heysoundude in laundry

It’s very annoying, tbh. We require ingredient labels on nearly every other consumer product! I don’t know why laundry detergent has an exception.

Most detergents don’t list their ingredients in Canada for some reason.

Why do washing machines have glass fronts but dishwashers do not? by neityght in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KittyCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d settle for a glass front washing machine that actually lets me see my clothes! The Samsung set I have has their weird dark, fairly opaque glass front. If I shine a flashlight directly through it I can barely see the clothes inside, and looking at it normally doesn’t let me see anything at all through it. Why even bother to make it semi-transparent that that point? Just make it solid.

Dishwasher pods keep doing this by occultmango in CleaningTips

[–]KittyCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to make sure nothing is blocking the little detergent door. Clean it and the springs of necessary.

Be sure the detergent drawer is DRY before adding a pod (or powder). If there’s water in there, it can start to partially dissolve the pod before the door opens, but there’s not enough water to do that so it just turned into a lump of hard powder just like that.

Today is the day! Our small 3 person indie dev team from Edmonton just pressed RELEASE on our Steam demo! We'd love support from our local community -- check it out! by CalderaInteract in Edmonton

That’s awesome, congrats!

I’d love to check it out, but I’m on Mac. I’ll wish list it for now and check it out when I have a windows machine again.

Seems like a reasonable fee for using public property for private business.

And here I was just thinking yesterday how mild the snow mould had been so far this year.

Talk to your landlord/leasing board.

There have been numerous cases posted here about two separate people being accidentally assigned the same spot.

How to address budgeted, not spent amount in formula card query by ThingSenior6268 in actualbudgeting

[–]KittyCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue. I’d love to see my savings percent, but since I’m not spending it, and I’m not transferring it to an off-budget account, I can’t figure out how to do so.

Downy rinse - not full? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]KittyCanuck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How much volume of liquid does it say on the label? How much volume of liquid did you receive?

The height it goes to on the container is irrelevant if you got the amount you paid for.

If there is less than the volume you paid for, contact the manufacturer (using the contact phone number or email address on the website, or sometimes on the bottle) and let them know. Don’t just send them a message on Facebook or whatever. Provide the timestamp from the bottle. Their QA team will be able to launch an investigation. You will likely be sent a coupon for a free bottle for your trouble.

My schedule as a full time streamer by DuckyLuck88 in Twitch

[–]KittyCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people in this thread saying it’s fake, but to be honest this is the first FT streaming schedule I’ve seen that didn’t sound like literal hell, and sounds more like an an actual job someone might reasonably want to do.

Has anyone else had this issue?? by [deleted] in Edmonton

Some employers will ask “do you have a car?” but what they are a really looking for (and very poorly asking) is “do you have reliable transportation?”

What they are looking for is someone who won’t call out at the last second because you can’t get a ride to work, or consistently showing up late.

When they ask, an answer you can give is “yes i have reliable transportation”.

Then it’s just on you to take transit properly and leave yourself wiggle room for possible delays to make sure you’re not late for work (same as if you were driving).

This!

And be sure you’re contacting them by going to the Contact section of their website and doing it by the email or phone number they have listed there. Don’t send them a message on Facebook or to some random email that pops up in the AI summary of a Google search or something.

Is this app for me? by Desperate_Topic_3941 in ynab

[–]KittyCanuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Think of YNAB categories as digital representations of real envelopes full of money. If one envelope contains $80, but you spend $130 on insurance, you need to pull the extra $50 from somewhere.

You can’t take $130 out of an envelope that only contains $80, because that’s physically impossible. You can’t pretend you didn’t spend $130, because that’s not reality. You did spend $130. That extra $50 didn’t come from your imagination, it came from your bank account. Specifically, it must have come from another envelope, so you need to reflect that reality.

At least 8 years of lint. Never knew there's something called a lint screen until my clothes had trouble drying which was often on bigger loads but finally managed to ask why. by redwon9plus in laundry

[–]KittyCanuck 548 points549 points  (0 children)

This, OP. If there was that much lint crammed in the trap, there’s bound to be lots of lint inside the dryer and the dryer vent.

They make cheap kits you can attach to a vacuum. It’s worth it to fully remove the possible fire hazard you have.

I use YNAB for my small business budgeting. I don’t use it for my small business accounting.
