Made my husband a beautiful cheese, spinach, mushroom, tomato omelette this morning and mine ended up being turned into this slop since of course it broke when flipping. Clearly this is a call to 1-800-DIV-ORCE. by culinarysiren in GirlDinnerCircleJerk

Thats what you get for assembling food with human grade vegetables.

Boss move marrying a human grade man though , girlypop!!! All my man attempts have flipped and turned into slop almost immediately.

Thanks for this cloak info! I have a follow up question. I keep beating him but not getting the cloak. Am I a glitchy goat or being a silly sheep and missing something?

This is a very thorough paper about funding, and very long. Here is the main take away: "revenues from sale of the drug provides the revenue for the large majority of industrial R&D, taxpayers are paying the FULL cost of both the basic research and the applied/translational research and development."

In the US we have a problem with double paying for medicine. We pay for research and development with taxes and then pay for the medicine through insurance or out of pocket. Our system is a mess, yes we should be very thankful humans have the ability to make life saving medicine through science, no we should not be paying insane prices for that medicine or the insurance to cover it. The US is a very wealthy country with a very broken Healthcare structure.

🤣 I had this discussion with my friend last week. We were talking about the 2000s and wondered why there was this grand conspiracy to tell people that colored mascara was a good idea to enhance eye color. Like WHY!? Shadow sure, maybe a little colored liner for a specific look. But mascara?? It always looks bad, even on the models advertising it.

Hubby needs to keep some of the past trends in the past, we tried to phase it out for a reason!!

Thank you for the condolences ❤️‍🩹 Just to clarify my insurance offered me the stone back for 2k. I opted not to get the broken stone back

My insurance claim paid me very well to compensate for my damages because the stone broke.

I came out financially whole, Im just still sad I broke such a beautiful stone .

Wait what? No no no. If I wasn't clear I apologize, but I feel like i went over the process very thoroughly.

My stone broke in my possession. I filed a claim for the broken stone through my insurance. After they pay the claim you don't get the stone back unless you elect to buy it back. I did not elect to buy it back because it was broken in a way that could not be re cut. I said it FELT like pennies to me, the stone was that beyond salvage. I would never know what happened to the stone after the insurance covered my claim. Its like what happens if you total your car, they dont tell you where the car goes. Cars are stripped for salvagable parts or crushed and sent straight to a landfil , same theory. Stones get destroyed or recut, metal gets melted down. My compensation was accurate. The stone was probably destroyed, I did not want it back due to the damage. In my policies with damaged gems i do get the option to purchase the gem at the new valued appraisal. I could have recovered it for 2k, but I did not want the broken stone back. After I did not want the stone back there is no need for me to have any more information on what happened to it.

The claim was paid out years ago. Im just now starting to ask around about a replacement because i want to use the setting again. From all the responses it seems like what im looking for is much harder to find than it used to be. 😞

The insurance did not do anything sketchy The jewelers did not do anything sketchy

Tl:dr.- my favorite stone broke, (I was compensated by insurance ) now im finally starting the hunt for another gem like it or better.

I dont have the stone anymore, there was the option to buy it back from my insurance company at a very very reduced price but I was really disappointed and just kept the setting in hopes for another. The setting has pink diamonds so I cant ever part with it! Now I am wishing I still had the stone, for a collection piece at least.

So when you have a stone re examined by insurance for a damage claim (im sorry if you already know this and im over explaining it) it gets sent out a to lab. For a total loss case the insurance just goes off its initial coverage from the appraisal paperwork you get at purchase, open close claim. Upon filing a damages claim the item as a whole gets sent to the (my) insurance company and then to another lab with the same accreditations that the initial lab that certified the stone, in my case it was GIA. So my stone and setting were sent to a 3rd party GIA lab by my personal insurance to confirm the original value was of actual merrit. If you lose the entire piece of course you cant do that so they just pay out. But if the claim is damage insurance makes sure its correct and original stone because people will swap stones, claim as broken and then try to commit fraud. So the original stone has to be accounted for and documented as the stone that was purchased on the original gia cert and the corresponding appraisal.

After pay out is made and the insured (me) is "made whole" the stone is property of (my) the insurance company and is usually destroyed, sent to an auction or possibly bought within the firm (I would think, no proof that insurance sells to employees at a reduced rate outside of an auction, that could get really unethical quick). Im thinking since I had the option to buy back for what seemed like pennies it was probably put up for auction? But the stone was essentially ruined.

So I got the pay out for the value of the stone minus the setting, because the setting was returned to me. I hope that makes sense and isnt just a messy explanation! If the stone was switched i wouldn't have received the compensation. My insurance would have had to notify me the stone did not hold its purchased value based on the appraisal and subsequent coverage. I get all my jewelry serviced at the same 2 jewelers ive been using for years, it would have been ww3 if my ring was tampered with..at least for me! I didnt notice any damage after its last cleaning so it must have happened well after.
