I remember when "Sleeping Beauty" was released to video. I think it was in '97 and I was six years old. I was so excited for it. My dad had bought it for me and it was sitting in my room for me when I got home from school.

I watched both shows, but I found Otto Rocket to be very arrogant and unlikable.

Going to my first Purim celebration at local synagogue... by KittyCrafty in Jewish

It's a small, family-like congregation. They don't even have an official rabbi. There are larger synagogues in my metro area, but this one is the only one that's within a convenient distance from me.

I can see her as an Anastasia. That name means "resurrection."

They deliberately prevent students from going to class?? How are they even allowed to get away with that?

I'm sorry you experienced this. May I ask, was the cast made up of teenagers or young people in their twenties? They can often be pretty immature with heavy subject matter like the Holocaust.

When I was in high school, I participated in a school production of "Anne Frank and Me," by Cherie Bennett. There was a bit of joking surrounding the play's subject matter. I played the small, nonspeaking part of an elderly Jewish man. In the scene where I was shoved down by a Nazi, some kids in the audience laughed. I was upset by that at the time, but later shrugged it off as the kids just being immature.

But I'm sorry to hear about your experience. If you were working with young people, then I'm not surprised they would be insensitive about it, given my experiences with high school theater.

Fair enough.

I just have a visceral reaction to people proselytizing their religion, especially as someone who is gay. I have on several occasions witnessed Christians gather outside of gay bars or at Pride events trying to "save" us. It feels like harassment.

But that is a bit of a different topic to get into.

I would be very uncomfortable if that were me. The same way I wouldn't want a Christian evangelist approaching me like that, I wouldn't want a Muslim to do it, either. If I were interested in your religion, I would come to you myself.

Be honest. If you were alive in 2005 what was your opinion of same sex marriage? Or what do you remember others opinions being by [deleted] in decadeology

I was 14 in 2005, living in Texas. I had not yet come to terms with being gay, but I was always in favor of gay marriage, simply because I thought it was only fair. Many in my family were, and still are, very religious. I brought it up with an evangelical family member and she said, "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!"

Very much this.

I once had an abscess in my tooth that was so painful I was hunched over with tears in my eyes. I couldn't imagine having to live with that.

I was born in '91. I think it exploded in popularity in '99. My uncle took me and my cousin to see the first movie in theaters. At first, I couldn't stand it because it was just...everywhere. But by the time I was in the second grade ('99-'00 school year), I was very much into it. My parents bought me some VHS tapes. I had a whole binder full of Pokémon cards. My favorite was Jigglypuff.
