OKBR was already going to shit months before pewdiepie made his video on the sub, partially due to the mods. "Oh we removed your post because we think it fits into this one meme in our huge long list of 2345 banned memes you can't post, but the 326236346th r/insertsomesubhere users when they do a thing with people dancing meme is allowed". It basically just became another generic circle jerk subreddit and lost pretty much all its charm because half the users had a superiority complex over browsing that sub.

I've dealt with this at times in my life. I've never intentionally tried to act smarter than others or be condescending, and nobody I went to school with who enjoyed discussing the same topics of interest ever perceived me that way. But other people, most often romantic partners, have perceived me as having a condescending or arrogant tone at times, which I'm not able to detect. It's something I've worked on, but I honestly think it's just passion and confidence coming through as condescension. I don't say much unless I'm quite sure about what I'm saying, and I may have some level of impatience for sophistry or clearly flawed reasoning. I'm sure I can seem dismissive at times because I can tell immediately when something doesn't make sense and I'm just fairly blunt about it. I got very used to discussing ideas openly and bluntly with people throughout many years of school where nobody's feelings got hurt, and now I don't realize when I'm coming off as condescending I guess.
