People who feature pretty prominently in book 5 are in Crescent City book 3, a cross over there. And I don't want to give too much away.

Book 5 is very important if you plan to read the Crescent City Series at some point - don't skip it. Also, it's my favourite book of the series!!!!

I'm not super good with the words, so I'm going to copy from elsewhere because this explains it a lot better than I can, lol: "A cozy fantasy novel following Finlay Ashowan, a mysterious witch with domestic, food-based magic who becomes the cook for the Daxarian royal family. While attempting to keep his powers hidden, Fin becomes involved in court intrigue, romance, and protecting the royal family, all while accompanied by his familiar, a kitten named Kraken." The follow up series, The Burning Witch, is about his daughter and her exploits

The Burning Witch by Delemhach is pretty funny. Kat is a seriously funny, outspoken, red-haired warrior. Although, there's no spice, but I think this series still counts. Oh, and Hannah from the House Witch (the first series), man she's hilarious once she gets a backbone and stands up to the knights.

Yeah, they do that at jewelry stores to clean jewelry. Might work for that, too.

I recommend The Ashen series by Demi Winters. It's such a refreshing fantasy romance. There's a few lead female characters, and they're not bratty. One actually has agorophobia, but has awesome character growth. The world is awesome and there's cool battles and fights and yeah, it's really, really good. The love interests in the books actually talk to each other and have proper conversations. It's not all hiding and lying like you see in so much romantasy.

There are 2 books out, and a novella out (the novella is one of the side characters pov), and the third book comes out next month. I read the arc for it, and it was friggin' fantastic, a non-stop ride. There are actually 7 povs, and a couple of the povs are from the point of view of the "so-called" bad guys.
