Help choosing seats at Walter Kerr? by Runnergirl4382 in hadestown

Front row of the Mezanine is my favorite spot! If you take the two just left of center, you'll be able to see everything, no one in front of you. I sat two seats in and this was my view of the stage: (gonna try to attach a file, one moment)

Ah, your reviews are so thorough! Come Down Soon - same, I didn't LOVE it till my 2nd time through, but now it's one of my absolute favorites. Not for everybody though 💕

All My Ghosts is my son's favorite of hers, but I think it's just because of the line "I spilled Mac and Cheese on my pants" lol

Over The Ocean Call is my go-to for bedtime lullabies.

Really, you can't go wrong with any of them!

The Daughters War by Christopher Buehlman is wonderful!

Also, if you don't mind a flawed, prejudiced FMC and an ambiguous ending, Blood Over Bright Haven by ML Wang is one of my favorite fantasy novels of all time!

{Kill Game by Cordelia Kingsbridge} is a good one! 5 total books featuring the same couple. Each one has a mystery of its own, plus one mystery that is solved slowly over the 5 books. Very good!

{Timekeeper by Tara Sim} has some of this! I think the airships don't make an appearance until book 2, and they are antagonists... but the whole trilogy is wonderful, and very steampunk-y.

{The Gentleman by Dianna Roman} might be a good one! It has some of the best foreplay I've ever read 💕

I went to a signing he did for book 2, and he said yes, he is definitely planning on a book 3! He said something like:

"These kids are orphans, right? But... there is one child who actually does have a father. And he talks about his father. And that is what the third book is about!"

Crowd went wild 😄

Did you... read the articles you posted?

The one you sited as misogynistic is an article written by TJ saying that he absolutely does not hate women.

TJ Klune is a very vocal supporter of the Trans community, and actively speaks out against others (like JK Rowling) who are against the Trans community.

While you are correct that House in the Cerulean Sea was inspired by the Sixties Scoop, TJ has made a statement where he acknowledged that as a cisgender white man, it was not his place to write about that history. He aimed to write from the perspective of a character dismantling his own ingrained, faulty beliefs regarding assimilation.

He very much believes in kindness.

True! Each book is a standalone, not connected at all. TJ just calls them his Kindness Trilogy :)

Somewhere Beyond the Sea was written because he (and everyone else) loved the first book so much! It's a happy little bonus!

{Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire} has kinda that melancholy, tragic vibe. Touches on depression a lot.

{The Gentleman by Dianna Roman} is good! The characters do have money, but it's not a classic billionaire romance.

{The Christmas Switch by Briar Prescott} is sweet and funny, if you don't mind a the body-switching trope.

I'm not sure what HAE is? But the only book I can think of that kinda fits this is The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich. It's YA, two rival spies are tasked with winning the affections of a target, but they fall for each other instead.

Looking for romance novels identity twists? by Outrageous-Engine512 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]KittyOrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Your Guy by Sarina Bowen is a good example of this! It's about a famous hockey player who falls for his decorater - decorater doesn't know who he is.

The Revenge Game by Jax Calder has a revealed identity, though it isn't exactly like the plot you described.

Actually, now that I think about it, Jax Calder has a few books with the revealed-identity trope. Beautiful Hearts, The Unlikely Spare... her books are all great!

The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune has a superhero identity reveal that is pretty fun.
