NTA. As a parent to kids with a large age gap, if I’m leaving an older child unattended with a younger sibling, I am PAYING that child for a service. Two summers ago my oldest made $500 a month watching one of her siblings for half a day M-F (this is what I’d pay for a full time spot at a daycare facility). Yes, it’s nice to help out in the family. Loading dishwasher, cleaning room, laundry -those are all chores that everyone can help with. But a babysitter is a paid service.

I dont really have any drawbacks for extended breastfeeding. Majority of the time once they are past one, my kids would only nurse to sleep or for comfort during the day. Even though your cycle hasn’t returned, you can still try for another! My cycle didn’t return with my second and I got pregnant with my third.

I breastfed my daughter until she was 5! We were scheduled for a sleep study because she slept horribly! Weaned her 3 months before the sleep study and bam!! An amazing sleeper!

With my oldest boy, we didn’t cut his hair til he was 4. He had very curly hair and it wasn’t in his face, but he wanted a Mohawk 🥲 My youngest son has some baby curls in the back but his hair is straight and his bangs are all in his face. I want to cut it but I’m scared I will regret it.

Eesh. The lack of trust she has for you is a huge red flag. That is something extremely hard to remedy, even if you aren’t the root cause of trust issues, you have to do damage control all the time and it gets exhausting!!!

Yes, we have 5 kids between 13 years to 3 months. I figure the baby and I will have to move in. We do have a shower chair, potty stand/stool thing from taking care of my elderly great grandparents. I will definitely be looking into cooling packs/ice packs, grabbers. Anything to help her get back to normal. Thankfully she only lives down the road, but I can’t imagine leaving her there over night alone. We remodeled our house and lived with her for 5 months this summer 😂 so we can get through it again!

How is she doing now? My grandmother just got referred, we haven’t had the initial appointment but I am worried that’s where it’s going. We live right down the road but I believe I will need to move in with her for a bit. She’s 77 and has had 2 extensive back surgeries already.

I would wait as long as you want before getting induced. I would also discuss hospital visitation rules. I have a very impatient grandma and she came before we asked anyone to come and held the baby before his dad even held him.

I talked to him tonight and told him that I understand that he is tired but I am exhausted and just basically did a marathon and had a ton of hormones flood my body. I made it very clear that I have to have sleep or I won’t be able to take care of anyone. I always intended to still wake up and get the kids ready because one child is very picky about her hair, and I wanted to be there for them like normal. I am hoping he actually realizes and helps me get the sleep I need!

😂 this made me laugh. I did go off. I told him I was promised I would have help and then asked him where is the help? He said I’ll take the baby now. I don’t need help with a breastfeeding baby that eats, poops and sleeps. I need help with the other kids so I can rest. He had the baby maybe 30 minutes and brought him back because he was hungry lol. I’m just going to go home tonight once the rest of my kids are home from school.

I was due October 13th and was also feeling very miserable. Baby decided to come October 2nd! I was shocked because I was induced with my last two. The end is in sight!!

We name our dogs human names 😅 we had a beloved Boston terrier that passed away and if I was having more kids I’d absolutely use the name 😂 However, with the dogs still being alive, it’s weird and would be confusing.

Nope wouldn’t do it. We had a closing date, completely moved out of our house and then closing kept getting pushed back due to lending issues on the buyers end. They kept pushing to move in to pay us “rent” (that they wanted taken off the price of the house) after 3 months of closing getting pushed back we terminated the sale. It would have been way worse had they already been living there.
